"Man, I still can't believe these chips amount to 10 million dollars!" Jack was saying, looking into the bag that held his chips with astonishment, letting out a chuckle as Nick led them through the casino. "And think of how much more we'll be getting by the time that we're done!"
"Shouldn't we just leave while we have the chance?" Benjamin said, making sure that Edwin stayed close to him, much to the Latino boy's chagrin. "10 million dollars IS a lot of money."
"You're thinking too small, Ben!" Nick called back, looking back at Benjamin and the others for a second before continuing to march onwards. "Besides, I already have our little adventure planned out already! Perfectly endorsed to have us rolling in the dough!"
"Well then, where's out first stop?" Edwin inquired, managing to break away from Benjamin's side. "The roulette wheel? The blackjack table?"
"Not quite!" Nick said, stopping as the group stepped into the slot machines facility. "Behold, the first stop to getting rich, the slot machines!"
Benjamin could only roll his eyes at Nick's dramatics, all he wanted was to leave this place. Edwin's eyes simply wandered around, not finding any signs of transformation. Fortunately for him, the casino had just opened for the night; transformations would soon be taking place all over. Jack, however, couldn't stop shaking either excitement.
"Come on Nick, lemme at them!" The Irish youth said, practically bouncing up and down. Nick gave Jack an eager smile, gesturing to the machines. "Sure, you'll get the first try!"
Jack let out a sound of excitement as he rushed to the nearest slot machine, the others close behind. Jack quickly got it set up, betting some of his money before spinning the slots. Little did he know that the casino was rigged to have him lose, no matter what.
True to the casino's intention, Jack didn't get a single match, much to his disappointment. As he grieved over the loss of his money, he barely registered the strange feeling travelling throughout his body. His body would now be changed, the changes dictated by how much money he'd bet.
