When Ryan felt Cy pulling street clothes on over him, he panicked. Cy caught the drift of Ryan's floundering thoughts.
"Look, I can't just walk home in a jockstrap," he kidded. "I'd be arrested for indecent exposure."
He managed an audible twist on the word "indecent" and thought some rather lurid but fleeting thoughts about what he'd like to do to Ryan's body once he had some privacy. Ryan didn't know whether he should be frightened by the fact that Cy seemed to find both his human body and his jockstrap form mutually arousing.
Of course, nothing remained sacrosanct, and Cy picked up on that thought, too. "Hey, it's not every day I get a former star athlete cradling my package," Cy pointed out while trying to tone down, for Ry's sake, his mental leering.
Ry shivered at the words "former star athlete."
"Vinnie will change me back," he broadcast to Cy.
Cy heard the entreaty in Ry's statement and interpreted, correctly, that the big jock was looking for some reassurance. "I'm sure he will," Cy offered.
Ry's earlier infatuation for Cy wavered. He wanted his body back.
"Cy?"
"Yes, Ry?"
"Would you... could you please... find Vinnie."
Cy felt disappointment and considered resisting the request. But, he sighed. He didn't want to trap a helpless guy into liking him. "Sure, we can look for Vinnie and get him to change you back. It's just..."
"What?" Ry asked when Cy trailed off.
"Well, I doubt big, strapping Ryan Standish, once he had his body back, is going to care about me."
To his credit, Ry didn't try to deny it, but he did promise to try to break his usual patterns.
"Look, I am going to owe you," he said. "Big time."
"It will be so nice to have your gratitude," Cy groused.
"It's not that," Ry got all tongue-tied, even while lacking an actual tongue at the moment. "I do like you. Really. I am as surprised as you..." He chuckled to offer some levity. "You're a cool guy, Cy."
Cy melted. How could he resist such earnestness?
He buttoned his jeans and patted his crotch. "Hang on to something," he joked. "We're going searching for Vinnie Cost."
