Edwin looked at the blank page, the pencil supplied to him by the female attendant feeling somewhat heavy in his fingers. She had said there were 3 wings; a gender wing, an age wing, and an animal wing. The fact that these would actually determine what physical form that he'd be taking (putting aside the revelation that he'd actually have his form changed) made the decision a little harder than he might've thought.
The attendant simply looked at him expectantly, however, which kind of disturbed him. She had this weird smile on her face, as if she knew how things would turn out in the end. If Dawn noticed it, she didn't let on, she seemed to be in a similar thought process.
Edwin shook his head, in an attempt to clear his mind and make a choice, running all three scenarios through his head. Age seemed pointless, he wouldn't want to simply be older or younger, so he ruled that out. Gender definitely seemed interesting, as Edwin really wanted to see how the other side of things would be like, but he really had his heart set on a certain change in particular.
"Hey, um, could I choose the Animal wing?" Edwin said, unable to stop his face from going beet red as he checked off the box for the animal wing, handing the sheet to the attendant.
"Yeah, I'll take that as well!" Dawn chirped, finishing up with her sheet as well, outstretching her arm to give it to the attendant.
"Why, of course!" The attendant said, that weird look never leaving her eyes as she took both sheets, laying them on top of the main desk. "Although who would guess that you both would choose the same wing?"
Dawn stuck her tongue out at Edwin rather childishly, before making a pout. "More like Edwin totally copied me!"
"What?!" Edwin exclaimed, as Dawn smirked at his outburst. "I should be the one saying that you copied me! I bet you just want to follow me around cause you're scared of being by yourself!"
Dawn let out a mock gasp, while this time it was Edwin's turn to allow a smirk to come onto his face. The two would've gone on, but they were stopped by the giggling of the attendant, causing the two to realize that they were bickering in public, their faces going red.
"Well, regardless of all that," She said, smiling at the two siblings. "It'll be good to be able to see a few new faces around here! We'll definitely arrange for your rooms to be next to each other, just so you two can stay close!"
She then clapped her hands, causing two animal anthros to come out, and take the bags that Edwin and Dawn were carrying with them. The two anthros, one a tiger and the other a bear, then walked off, leaving the three.
"Now, I'd escort you to your rooms," The attendant said as she took a seat behind the main desk, giving an apologetic grin to Edwin and Dawn. "But the hotel believes in freedom of all kinds, so I'll allow you two to find your way to your rooms!"
And with that, the two were on their own. Luckily, Edwin and Dawn found that navigating the hotel wasn't that hard at all, seeing as the hotel was pretty clear on which wing was which. Edwin still stuck with Dawn as they walked through the Animal wing, however. Maybe it was the big brother in him, or maybe he just needed some company.
Anyway, the two soon found their rooms, discovering that they were right next to each other. Giving each other a quick hug, they each went into their respective rooms.
Edwin, exhausted, crashed onto his bed once he got into his room, unknowingly disregarding a survey that the staff had left for him to fill out about what kind of change he wanted. With it blank, there was no telling what could happen....
