At sunrise, the team woke up, eating a light breakfast. All of them were quiet, absorbed in their own thoughts. After the breakfast, they changed into civilian clothes, t-shirts and jeans that they'd brought with them. When they'd gotten dressed, the team packed up the majority of their gear, stashing it in a stand of trees nearby. Lupina looked over her team, smiling. She had a good feeling about today.
"Alright, this is the plan. We go into the town, look for useful buildings and people. Everyone take your spray with you," Lupina said. The "spray' which she referred to was one of the warwolves' most practical inventions. It was an aerosol version of the lycanthropy virus, one that allowed infection in a most clandestine way. One simple spray in the face, and a victim was infected.
Lupina was happy with the team she'd picked; two women and three men. Each one of them was loyal to her, and each one of them was loyal to the grand pack. For infiltration purposes, the composition of the team also worked; they simply looked like three young couples on a vacation of some form. In truth, they were all closer to fourty than twenty, but thanks to being warwolves, all looked considerably younger.
The team sauntered into town, smiling as they passed a few people on the dirt road, but drawing no extra attention, as far as they could see. It was a small town, around 500 people at most, and so it offered little in the way of a challenge to them, though at the same time offering little in the way of strategic buildings they should take.
Lupina and her team made note of a few key locations, however. From her experience, she knew the Catholic church would be an easy place to catch a large number of recruits on any given evening.
A dingy bar they passed would also be loaded to capacity later that night.
The police station, and its four deputies would be a strategic place to be as well. If they took the police, then all of the security for the town would fall.
The hospital as well had value, despite it's small size. If the local doctors were made into warwolves, they could clandestinely infect dozens if not more. Also, the weak and infirm could quickly be made into recruits-or turned into food for the beasts.
There was also a small motel, with roughly twenty rooms, a good place to hide, as well as get some outsiders, who could carry the infection quickly to other places far from here.
Lupina pondered the possiblities, before giving her orders.
