Karen managed to pick herself up from her recent daydream and straightened her clothes. She noted that the afternoon sun was in the sky, and figured that Peter would be home by now. She walked across her bedroom and opened her door. The first thing she noticed was a trail of clothes leading from the living room to the bedroom. Judging by the types of clothes on the floor, she figured her mom and dad were at it again. She started to pick up the trail of clothes, and when she got near her parent's bedroom, Karen could hear Nichole moaning in rhythm. Karen resisted the urge to open the bedroom door a crack and peek inside, and instead, left the clothes in a pile near the door. She made her way down to the kitchen where the phone was. Karen quickly looked up the number for the Brook residence and dialed the number on the phone.
After a few rings, Daniel picked up the phone. "Hello?" he answered.
"Hi, it's me, Karen," Karen replied, "Is Peter home?"
"Karen?" Daniel asked, "Is everything all right?"
"Oh, uh, yeah, nothing's happening here except a bit of boredom. Peter was talking about getting a werelion rep to visit before we moved to the cabin, and I was wondering if he managed to find anyone."
"Okay, let me get Peter on the phone." There was silence on the line before Peter picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Hi Peter," Karen answered, "I was wondering if you had a lion that I could talk to."
"Well," Peter replied with a grin, "I'd be lion if I said no." Karen groaned at the pun. "There's a group of werelions called the Talbots. They think they're royalty here, but they're just another group to me. Anyway, they'll be willing to send someone your way if you still want to meet them. I know with the move and everything..."
"It's fine," Karen cut in. "Tara said I could get guests as long as she or someone else cleared them first."
"Oh good," Peter said in response, "Yeah, I can arrange something with my dad. Also, if you want to be a weretiger or a werelion, I have a couple of guys that would be more than willing to help you."
"Ah, thanks?" Karen said. Then she realized what she said and added, "Sorry, this is just weird for me. I mean, having someone arranging a hook up like this..."
"Hey, don't sweat it. When I decided to become a weredog, it was sorta awkward for me to approach a girl and ask to have her bring me into were society." Peter paused for a moment, "I mean, looking back to it, I'm surprised she didn't slap me when I asked. But don't worry, we'll all get used to it. But don't worry about it, I'll make sure you get to be what you want to be."
Karen smiled when she heard that. "Thanks Peter. For everything."
"No problem," Peter said in reply. "And once this whole creep thing goes away, maybe we could...you know..."
Karen grinned as she put her back on the wall as she thought out her response. "Maybe, if you're a good boy. I'm not making any promises though."
Karen could hear Peter laughing over the phone, "All right, fine. Anyway, I'll see about someone your way later tonight." Peter paused and then said, "Stay safe out there, okay?"
"I will," Karen said in reply, "Good bye."
"Bye," Peter replied before hanging up the phone. Karen did so likewise. The only thing that she could do now is wait for nightfall.
