Travis crossed his arms expectingly. He was giving Mary a very severe look, which She didn't enjoy at all. Kind of hurt her feelings, actually!
Mary lit up with an idea. Of course, she can just drink the reverse vial and she'll look like her actual self again in a matter of seconds! "Travis, just wait a sec, ok?" She tells him in as polite a tone as she could manage and she quickly picked up the vial labeled "reversal". She downed it all fast.
"You...know my name?" Travis asked, ever more suspicious. "Look, just tell me who you are already, lady!"
The ginger haired stranger smiled, feeling the magical buzz spread across her body. She starts transforming right away. "Travis, it's me, Mary..." Her voice changed during this short phrase and by the time she closed her mouth, her appearance had also returned to what it should be. Mary was restored to her real, brunette, straight haired, blue eyed self. "Ta-dah!"
Travis rubbed his eyes in disbelief. "Mary! How, what just happened? How is this even possible? Is it...magic?"
Mary waved her hand at the box on her desk. "It's these vials... Actually, I'm not sure either...what they are exactly. This old box was shipped to my house this morning..."
"Did you buy it online or something?"
"No, Travis, I didn't order anything! Must be some kinda postal mistake, I have no idea why this ended up at my doorstep."
"Well, don't this just beat all... So how does this stuff work?"
"Not sure... I was just trying them out before you arrived... There are many different vials in the box, all labeled and stuff. I guess each one induces a different kind of...magical tranaformation. See, look here...this section here has like various races written on each vial... I had drank this green one tagged "Irish"..."
"...And it turned you into that girl with the long red curls!"
"That's right..."
Travis looked a bit curious now. He stepped closer to examine the many colored test tubes inside the mysterious wooden box. "You know, Mary... that Irish girl didn't look half bad, I'd say!..."
Mary gives him a dirty look. "Hey, what are you getting at? You saying you liked her better than me or what?"
Travis shrugged and grinned. "Easy, babe! She was you, not some other woman, remember?"
Mary pouts. "Hmph! I'm better looking than her and that's final!"
Tom picked up the green "Irish" vial and playfully put it up in front of Mary's pouty face. "Found her, heh heh! Feeling thirsty, babe?" Tom teases her. Mary didn't look amused.
"Stop it Travis. Get that away from me!"
"Oh please, Mary, drink me, save me, I'm trapped in a little glass tube! Help me, help me!" Travis jests, speaking in a comical, Irish accented falsetto. This did cause Mary to let out a giggle. "Travis, you really want me to drink that?... You want me to be her again?"
Travis shrugged. He smiles at his girlfriend warmly. "Well, not necessarily her. I mean, come on, babe! We have this whole box of crazy stuff right here, don't you want to experiment a bit? We could do some really fun roleplaying here..."
Mary thought it over. "It does sound fun, I guess...fun and crazy. Oh what the hell! Ok, you win, we can play a bit. Only a bit though!" She takes the green vial from Travis and was about to drink it, but Travis stops her. "Wait, babe! Here's what we'll do... You close your eyes and I'll pick a vial for you to drink. It's more fun this way!"
Mary wasn't so sure about it. She takes a deep breath, closes her eyes and says "Very well. Surprise me, Travis... Make me into your silly little dream chick, whatever that would be. Wait, just...just don't turn me into an animal or something, okay? If you do I swear I'll dump you!"
Travis rubs his hands as he scans the box, considering his options. He smiled from ear to ear, feeling like a kid in a candy store...
"Travis!" Mary calls again. "Promise, no weird stuff. Okay?!"
"Oh, yeah sure babe, don't worry...heh heh"
