Jeff clicked out of the warning and immediately clicked back on the button. Again, a small warning popped up, this time in a dark red: “Warning: Application of DNA to transformee that is not the host’s in body part form may cause the Chronovac V4.0 to become confused. This may cause changes to the parameters of the transformation as listed above. We here at the Chronovac team are working hard to fix this, so please be careful with your use.”
Jeff was losing his patience at this point. He X’d out of this tab and clicked on the button for the third time. This time, he felt something. His computer’s fan went into overtime as it whizzed faster and faster. Jeff’s fingers and toes tingled with excitement, but also with something he couldn't explain. As his vision went dark, he felt as if he were floating in air. Jeff shook his hands a bit to try and get rid of the feeling, but it continued further up. As it reached his wrist, he felt his hand stop flapping. Where the tingling had been, it had removed.
He stayed in this limbo state for maybe a minute, the tingling spreading up his arms and legs. As the tingling reached his shoulders, it stopped; the tingling in his pelvis growing stronger and faster. It continued to spread up over his stomach and chest, stopping part way up his neck. A new feeling then began. His neck shifted upward, a bit like he was looking up. The feeling spread to his cheeks as they began to swell up. The feeling wrapped around him, changing him more: his nose shrank and flattened against is face, his eyes closed and sealed, his hair disappeared from his head, his ears flattened and closed, his lips puckered tight, and his skin became as smooth as silk. All the while, his cheeks swelled larger and larger, where they met in the middle creating a valley. As they swelled, Jeff felt the back of his head go numb and soften, his cheek bones migrating further back as his teeth shrank and disappeared, his gums doing the same. Finally, they reached an acceptable size, his cheek bones settling and changing shape as the rest of him minutely shifted here and there. After a few more seconds, Jeff heard the Chronovac quietly ding.
Jeff’s world swirled around him as he felt a warmth behind his cheeks, one that spread to every inch of his being and felt a bit like he had a sunburn. He then felt something wrap around him, something soft that didn’t contain much of him, but was comparable to a hug from someone half your size. After that, he felt, well, felt. The velvety layer was pulled taught around every part of him, pushing both itself and the smaller layer up against his mouth. For a moment, he felt completely weightless. Then, he crashed into a warm leather seat.
