Roy glanced out his apartment window again and saw several people milling about, going to and from their cars in the early morning hours. Some of them were familiar figures he saw each day, but none were people he'd ever been introduced to. He didn't know any of their names.
There was the cute but bitchy looking cheerleader who always walked by presumably to get to school. She was walking with a spring in her step and her uniform on so clearly she had a fun day ahead. Opposed to her was the other high schooler who often walked by and whom Roy could see out the window. She was a sullen goth girl who, as usual, looked miserable.
Yelling in the parking lot near the building was a trashy redneck woman laughing with her dog, and nearby to her was a geeky looking college aged girl who was trying not to get into any trouble. He saw plenty of more people but decided that he might just want to pick one of the people he had already seen.
