On the other side of town in a motel room, Gustavus Amehr, reading over yesterday's newspaper for the 5th time that day. The sides of the paper were visibly crinkled where he was holding it, presumably from when he clenched his fists in anger. Tom Herald hadn't been a Were for more than a month, and he thinks that its a good idea to expose the existence of Weres to the world after the secret had been kept for hundreds of years.
"Humanity hasn't changed a bit," Gustavus muttered under his breath as he read the article on the front page. "Herald doesn't know what the hell he's doing."
"I still think that he just wants the best for all Weres" Gustavus' partner, Quintus Fives, said as he sat on his bed.
"And the best for Weres is revealing our existence to the public?!" Gustavus snapped at Quintus. "You honestly think that the rest of the world will just accept us for who we are? You don't think they'll round us all up and put us in cages before dissecting us one by one to find out what makes us tick? Look around Quintus! Peace between anyone in this day and age is impossible! Remember why you joined the Luna Brotherhood in the first place?!"
"I do..." Quintus said quietly. "To stop rouge Weres from exposing us to the world."
"And what is Tom Herald?"
"...A rouge were...trying to expose Weres to the world..."
"Exactly," Gustavus said. "We've tried asking politely, but from what I can gather, Mr. Herald hasn't stopped his attempts."
"So what exactly are you suggesting we do?" Quintus asked, curious as to what his partner had come up with.
"We need to send him some threats first," Gustavus said. "Start out small and get larger. If he doesn't back off, we'll need to take some...drastic measures..."
