Making his decision, Jeff browsed through the options. Age? Maybe a few months old. Gender? Female. Now, where did he find the options for changing into a different species? There. With every option he changed, a second image of his sister changed with them. Eventually, he paused to look at it. Perfect! His sister would be a docile little puppy. Transformation time? Indefinite. He'd turn her back when he wanted to.
"Jeff? What the hell is that? I'll tell mom!"
Not turning away from the screen, Jeff said: "Oh, just something I got in the mail."
Another dialog appeared, asking him who should be aware of the changes. He selected himself and his sister, then selected the "Save" button. A loading screen appeared, but it seemed to be moving faster than last time.
He turned to look at his sister. "You are going to be sorry you ever tried to annoy me," he said calmly. He had faith in the Chronivac. It would work. Or would it?
His sister just sat there looking angry. "And just how are you going to do that?" Nothing happened. And then she said, "Ow!".
Jeff watched as his sister started to lose size, and grow fur around her body. Her feet grew longer and flattened; her fingers shortened into her hand.
"What's going on? What are you doing to me?"
"You're turning into a puppy. Even someone as stupid as you should be able to see that."
Screaming, she found that her body was about the size and shape of a young dog. Her clothes had fallen off her at the neck. Her skull reshaped itself, making her head look like a dog's. The changes were complete.
Jeff quickly grabbed his sister before she could run for it, and closed the door. He then released her, and watched, amused, as she ran in all directions trying to get out. She was far too small to open the door, and all the windows were closed.
"Incidentally, nobody knows who you really are. They all think you were always a dog. So you don't need to worry about them looking for you."
His sister gave out a whimper which was barely audible.
"Now," said Jeff, "what to do with you?"
