Maddy, the most recent zoo employee was given the task to find a way to communicate with the apes. Since their leader passed last week, it was impossible to "talk" to them. No hand signals were going through, not even methods of bribery, nothing. So, it was all left to the rookie. Maddy was basically a slacker. She barely cared about the work that she was doing and it was honestly a shock to both her and her annoyed co-workers that she moved up to working with primates. She worked on the job as hard as she did the previous zoo job, by barely even working. So, she knew that this was important, it's just that she didn't care.
...well, not at first...
...until it reached the last minute...
Maddy was now panicking, much to the joy to her previous co-workers, to find something, ANYTHING, that could be used as a translator or a communicator. She spent most of the day on her phone, and the thought of giving her phone to some apes revolted her. Something had to be here! Something! Anything!
She spotted something. Some sort of device. Something with a screen and touchpad? Good enough. She takes it and run, putting it in front of some primates. As she left, it felt like the machine scanned her from head to toe. Maybe that might help with the translation? Who knows, who cares, she obviously didn't.
The primates were quite interested in this new machine that the human gave them. It looked quite pretty and it had a bunch of options for them. The machine scanned them like they did Maddy.
They wanted to test this machine out...
