"hey, you mind if I take a look at that doohickey of yours?" Gretta asks after a moment of silence with the light sounds of Todd fiddling with device.
Todd is notably apprehensive "why? this is a delicate thing you know, one of a kind. Its really dangerous, especialy for those who don't know how to use it."
Gretta pouts, here scared and wrinkly old croc face disturbingly looking like Todd's 60 year old aunt. "I just want to see the thing that granted me a new lease on life, come on, if someone showed you the apple of eden you too would want to at least hold it in your hands."
Todd supposed that Gretta had a point, although he questioned why an animal who just became sentient would know about biblical stories. Gretta was Todd's new friend after all and he realy started to feel close to the voluptuous lizard. She seemed genuinely nice and caring dispight her rough exterior and here depressing past. In a mixure of guilt and true comradely, Todd Acquiesced. "Sure, i guess you diserve it after i messed up the last part." The human outstretched his arm and Gretta took the wonder gadget, flinching slightly as her reptilian skin brushed against Todd's own.
Gretta, still hated humans, still hated pretty much everything, but this little monkey, she thought, is something special. The two shared a moment just looking into each other eyes contemplating there odd, serendipitous freindship... or maybe it might become something more than that?
Gretta shook her head slightly and quickly reoriented her slit eyed gaze towards the reality shifter, before she could complete that thought which continued to make her loins burn.
Gretta may have now been sentient, but reading isn't exactly an innate skill of newly intelligent beings. She felt pretty clever after hitting Todd with that apple of Eden quote that she remembered hearing from some odd looking zoo guests in silly robes, but the squiggly lines on the screen kind of made her feel dumb again. "Stupid monkeys with their weird lines and stinking apples. I've seen some prey eat those disgusting things and non of them got smart. Goes to show how much they know about the world." she said to herself annoyance. However, she noticed that next to each row of odd shapes was a little picture of something. She didnt quite know what each meant, but it was better indication than those damn squiggles.
Gretta saw Todd scrolling through the options and selecting things when he transtformed her a few times... Maybe she could try the thing out, its not like Todd should have all the fun? But than again, he is trusting her to be responsible, maybe she should give it back after she examines it. Or maybe she could ask Ty what each of the buttons do and see if he's ok with her changing some stuff?
