Nothing big, of course. Better first see how the thingamajig operates. What if she tried something world-changing, and the Chronivac went all kerflooey? She could get stuck in a position more boring than the one she was in now, if that was possible. And according to the Chronivac, anything is possible.
But nothing too small, either. What would be the point of changing the color of her nails, or the length of her hair? Nothing she couldn't accomplish with a day at the spa or hair salon. Boring. No, it had to be something that would be considered impossible, or at least highly unlikely, in this world, this reality. That was the only way to confirm just how much the Chronivac could really do.
Toni skipped over the options that would just change little things about herself and began scrolling through some of the odder, yet still disguisable, possibilities. Naturally, she could not use the option that made people thing whatever change she did to herself was normal, otherwise it might mess with her sense of reality. She might just think that the change she made to herself really was normal, and there was something wrong with her for thinking it was not. Instead, better to do something strange, and keep circumstances so that the whole world would think it strange. For the moment, whatever she did would just be her little secret.
Satisfied that the effect she selected would be weird enough to be considered abnormal, but something she could hide if she wanted, Toni took a deep breath.
"Boring life, goodbye!" She giggled nervously to herself, then pushed the "Changes Accepted" button.
