Maddy was just walking out of the zoo for her lunch break. Her mind is filled with thoughts of anger and annoyance. "Why did I get that stupid monkey job? Why couldn't I work in social media or something like that? I would be much better at that job than Samantha would be. Dumb girl doesn't even know how to use a filter, no wonder her photos look ugly. Why did I take this stupid job? Taking care of dumb animals? Why would I choose to do that?"

The primates started to mess around with the controls, almost slapping them together as none of them know what they were doing. Completely unaware, Maddy started undergoing some changes. Some changes that she didn't even know where happening to her.

"The job is completely awful! Stupid dumb animals. Why should we have to take care of them? Me think that's a good idea" Already the changes were affecting her. She giggled at her little mistake. "Why did I say me? What am I, one of those stupid monkeys? Nah. Me smarter than them" She didn't correct herself. She continued to giggle as her mind was becoming simpler and simpler. "Now where me going? Did me need food? Or me go home now?" She scratched her head just like the primates that she mocked a while ago. Her arms were dangling like they were limp and outstretched, mentally dragging them across the dirty floor of intelligence. "Where food? Me need food! Me... need... mate!" As her IQ went down, her desires, as simple as they were, went up. Soon, she was the dumb one and the primates, even though they didn't know it, were the smarter ones. She continued to scratch her underarms and hair. "Where mate?! Where food?!" Her nose perked as she smelt fresh fruit somewhere. "Go to food! Eat!"
