Lisa and her friends were having the time of their lives. Running through the play area, eating pizza, and playing video games the five grown down adults couldn't remember the last time they had so much fun. As the excited 7 year olds now sat perched in their impromptu clubhouse they giggled impishly as they positioned themselves above the slide. "Okay all together now," Lisa exclaimed. "1, 2, 3, GO!!!"
A mass of giggling girls now slid down the slide, collapsing in a giggling heap at the bottom. Laughing hysterically the girls were unaware of a group of people slowly approaching.
"This was definitely a great idea," Maddie giggled. Ann nodded as she turned towards her sister, noticing the young Auburn haired child grinning ear to ear. "Told ya," she smirked. As Lisa was about to say something the group was distracted by a camera flash. Turning, the girls now gaped at the group of teens smiling impishly at them.
"Having fun mom," Gloria laughed.Lisa turned five different shades of red as she sheepishly looked up at Gloria. "What are you doing here," Lisa asked.
"Heard from dad you and your friends were going out," Gloria said. "Considering the look on yours and Mrs. Haskins face before you left, had a feeling you would do something like this. By the way, hi Mrs. Haskins."
Maddie blushed, waving shyly, as Felicia slowly approached, a smile etched on her face. "Oh my god Mrs. Haskins," Felicia exclaimed. "You were adorable as a kid."
"Thank you Felicia," Maddie said quietly. "Um, the boys aren't here are they?"
Felicia laughed softly, shaking her head no. "Adam and Nate are with some of their friends," she said. "We were having a bit of a girls night ourselves."
Maddie breathed a sigh of relief as Naomi, Diane, and Jackie now stepped forward, smiling impishly at Kumiko and Ann.
"Hi Aunt Kumiko," Naomi giggled. "You remember my girlfriend Diane?"
"Um hi," Kumiko said sheepishly as she gazed at the teenage girl. "This is um, kind of embarrassing."
"Dont worry about it Mrs. Harris," Diane giggled. "If it helps you look adorable and I wont tell your husband." Breathing a sigh a relief Kumiko thanked her niece and her girlfriend.
"So Angel," Jackie smirked. "Is this your idea of a girls night?"
"It was Lisa's idea," Ann whined pointing at the red head girl to her side.
Jackie giggled as she watched Ann shift nervously under her gaze, while Lisa frowned at her sister. "I see," Jackie said. "And I'm guessing your little friend was your sisters idea too?"
Ann nodded sheepishly as Lisa protested. Jackie laughed harder as the siblings began to argue, Ann turning a bright red as she embarrassingly looked up at her girlfriend. "Sorry darling, " she said meekly. "Dont be mad at me."
"Cmon Ann I'm not mad," Jackie said kindly. "But, we are definitely taking some pictures for posterity. Sasha if you please."
Sasha stepped forward, a wide smile on her face as she looked the five grown down women. "Okay you five," Sasha commanded. "Unless you want me calling your families, line up for a photo."
Despite some minor protesting Lisa and the others now begrudgingly trudged towards a statue of Chuck E. Cheese. "Now say Girls Night," Sasha sang as her and her friends readied their cameras.
Lisa and the others forced a smile as Gloria and the others now began taking pictures of them. Although beat red with embarrassment the girls realized things could be worse. If nothing else, photos would ensure this girls night out would be one of the more memorable moments of their friendship.
