"Let's see here, I'm..."
The girl, previously a boy formally known as Bill, was now a really fat, frizzy haired and pimple suffering academically disinclined girl named Willow.
"That's right...Willow", said the laconic Willow. "That boy...Rob? He made me...do something.
"Right?" asked Willow to herself. She stood there for several seconds before coming to a decision. She stared at her shoes, which were a pair of Heelies, so she wouldn't have to walk to school so much.
"I guess I'll worry about it later!" she said more enthusiastically, and began walking to school. As she walked, she began to day dream about her best friends, Ellen Braun and Lindsey Wade, both of whom were much smarter than her. Ellen was a math and science geek, and was small and skinny as opposed to Willow being wide and bloated. Lindsey was a geek in the other sense of the word, and that sense is not of the carnival side show variety. Lindsey was obsessed with minute activities, like gaming, movies and random trivia(she loved TvTropes). She had a genius level IQ, but seemed to be wasting it in a wash of Seinfeldian conversations with Ellen, Willow, or any other geek that would listen. Willow was not really that smart, but like Bill, Willow was a gamer herself, and frequently played with Lindsey. An unintended side effect of Rob's jealousy of anyone more talented than him, it didn't matter what activity it was, made Willow an expert at everything related to video gaming. She may have been an idiot savant, or a one trick pony if you will, but Willow performed one hell of an elaborate and wide knowing savant "trick".
Willow had been thinking about when she first met her best friends during her first day of the first grade. She hadn't liked Kindergarten, which was too structured for Willow, who at that age was just planning to play the rest of her life, and argured with her mom and dad from the back seat of the car, with her two year old bratty(in her opinion) sister Kimberly sitting next to her. Willow had met Ellen when Willow was playing the Oregon Trail on the rooms sole computer console, and Ellen liked all the pretty pictures. Ellen's smile showed braces across her face, and Willow could find common ground with that, as her parents said that if she ate too much candy, not only would she be fat and unhealthy, she would rapidly be needing braces for her teeth.
Ah, what simpler days, thought Willow. She didn't have to hike any damn sidewalks, didn't have to get laughed at for attempting to join the cheerleaders, didn't have to work part time to support herself, et al. And she was SMARTER then too...what happened? Laziness on her part? The education system? Willow didn't know, and was prepared to endure another day at high school.
