You pause, thinking over which spell you would like to use; definitely the Beast Shape one. Carefully holding the book, you flip back to the page with the spell III. Your heart pounding, you concentrate on an animal you have always felt the need to be: a cheetah. Whispering the word ‘shape’, so as not to wake anyone in your house up, you quietly begin the transformation.
At first, nothing appears out of the normal and you are slightly disappointed. It really must be a trick. Sighing, you’re about to climb back in bed to sleep the last hour when a jolting pain stabs through you. Not expecting the book’s spells to actually work, you resist the spell, gritting your teeth as the pain worsens. Suddenly, your spine literally cracks, sending you panting onto the bedroom floor. You whither around for a few minutes as you skin begins to sprout golden fur that is littered with jet black spots.

For a moment, all you can do is stand there, partially wondering what the heck just happened. Slowly, you stand, ending on all fours. Trying to stand upright is impossible, so you just stay down. Your legs and spine tingle, and your heart begins pumping new energy throughout your feline body. Although your eye sight isn’t as good as it was about half an hour ago, you feel as if you could sprint at a pace of 65 miles an hour.
Purring, it eventually dawns on you that the book really does contain actual spells and that you are now a full grown cheetah. You smile, well, as much as a cat can, and begin thinking about what to do next...
