Looking at the mask you pulled out, you see you got a black cat mask. You shrug and slip it onto your face securing the rubber strap behind your head.
Once it was on you feel a tingling in your face. You try to take off the mask but find it superglued to your skin. As you pull the mask only sticks to your face even more.
You feel your skin not just sticking to the mask, but becoming one with it. As your lips part and fill in those of the mask. You begin feeling the string whiskers from the top of your lip. Your nose and jaw extended to fill in the features of the hollow cat mask. You smell in greater detail than you did before. Your vision blackens for a few seconds then, returns with slightly paler colors. You don’t need to look in a mirror to know your pupils were now slits. Finally the changes seam to stop.
You tug on one the whiskers above your lip and feel an intense pain of a needle being driven into the top of your lip. You run your tongue around the inside of your mouth. Most of it was the same, but in the front your once flat teeth were replaced with sharp ones that tasted like cheep plastic. You try to take off the black feline mask but only feel you pulling on your own face. Even the strap was gone. It was no longer a mask.
The plastic black cat mask was your face.
