Roy decided to test it even further, so he pointed the device at the rag doll being flung around by the cute 4 year old girl and pressed the button.
Once again, there was no sign of any crazy sci-fi affects, but rather reality quietly shifted.
Where Mr. Raoul Sanches had been standing, there now stood a dainty, adorable woman wearing a flowery dress. She had bright red, curly hair that resembled the dolls former yarn hair and a pink purse wrapped around her shoulder. She was gleefully smiling, her smile bright and white and makeup precisely done.
Roy shifted his glance over to Elena, the little girl who'd been carrying the rag doll that just came to life. Instead of a doll, the toddler now had a tiny, perfect, plush replica of her former father – a stuffed, colorful doll of a middle-aged Hispanic man.
"Okay kiddie widdes! We have to get going!" the doll sung. "Listen to your mother." She gleefully exclaimed.
The solider smiled as he gave the former doll a kiss as the family walked off.
Roy was baffled as one of his neighbors casually passed the family, somehow unaware that this buff soldier and cute white woman weren't supposed to be the parents of these latino children. And he was even more confused as to how this woman was considered the father!
