Lilith and Baba Yaga appeared once more inside their home, Jack wasn’t home at the moment but they could sense he was safe. Smirking Lilith stride towards the front parlor, a confident smile upon her face.
“What have you done,” Baba whispered.
Lilith said nothing, simply staring out towards the street, a triumphant smile upon her face. “Baba,” she said quietly. “Do you have any idea how foolish I’ve been made out to be in other timelines?”
Baba shook her head no, still fearful of what Lilith might do. “Don’t worry Baba nothing shall happen to you,” she said. “I was merely removing Circe from the equation. It appears that Circe is far more appreciated than I. Far too many timelines painted me out to be the fool. Making her the focal point , playing me as if a mileniumnof experience mattered not simply because I focus my magic on things besides animal transformation.”
“So you eliminated her out of jealousy then,” Baba stated.
“Not so much out of jealousy but necessity,” Lilith answered. “You see, Circe was growing far too influential here. Brining Merlin’s daughter and her friends to her side only tipped the scales in favor of one person, Circe. That’s not what our purpose is, our purpose is to strengthen Jack not ourselves.”
“Haven’t you strengthened yourself by ‘retiring’ her,” Baba exclaimed.
“No not at all,” Lilith stated. “If anything I have weakened myself but in doing so I have strengthened Kellies enemies. Think for a moment, all of Circes followers are now Kitsune. I may have weakened my power but by doing so I have strengthened the darkness. I lost an ally in Circe but the Kitsune are stronger than before. It brings balance.”
“It’s lunacy,” Baba huffed. “You have cut off your nose to spite your face. You weakened not only yourself but Kellie as well. How will they see you knowing you have doomed a friend of theirs to a life as a Kitsune.”
“They can still rescue her,” Lilith said. “And I have faith they will. If theirs one thing I have seen from Merlin’s daughter it is her resilience. She stood up to Circe as she was slowly transforming her friends into her followers and she faced down Morgan LeFay and defeated her. Kitsune will be unable to stop that girl if she puts her mind to it.”
“And how will Jack see this Lilith, he will hate you for what you have done. Banishing Circe, endangering Kellie and her friends. Younstand to lose the son younso desperately have tried to hold on to.”
Lilith paused as a sad expression crossed her face. Yes, she very well may have pushed Jack away. She had endangered Kellie and her friends. He may very well never forgive her, however that was part of the plan.
“You are correct Baba,” Lilith sighed sadly. “I may have destroyed my bond with Jack. But their was reason behind it. Have you noticed the passion those two seem to have for one another?”
“What of it,” Baba asked.
“They still care for one another,” Lilith smirked. “Yes, Kellie is a lesbian. Yes, she does not want to lay down with a man. But, she has in the past and when she did she bore a child with incredible magical energy. A child that was able to shape not only her timeline but this one as well. Who is to say that history can’t possibly repeat itself. Can you imagine, a child with the blood of both Merlin and myself? That child’s power would be unrivaled. THAT, would bring balance. A child born of darkness and light.”
“So that’s your plan,” Baba exclaimed. “Set things in motion so that Jack and Kellie conceive another child together. Those are slim odds Lilith.”
“Perhaps,” Lilith shrugged. “But their relationship has already thawed. They have bonded over their daughter and even shared an innocent kiss. Whose to say what will happen in the future.”
“And what of me then,” Baba asked. “Will I be joining Circe in retirement?”
“No not yet,” Lilith stated, a smirk spreading across her face. “You have a part yet to play here. After all, I know of your past relationship with Merlin. Whose to say that too can’t be rekindled. For now though we shall spectate. Let us see if Kellie can rescue her friends.”
