Chloe looked like her head was spinning as she lowered herself down into the chair next to Mary. “You.... you... this...” A hand ran through her platinum locks. “Those vials.. they’re actually...”
“Magic,” Mary nodded, putting a hand on Chloe’s shoulder. She fought back the urge to say ‘I told you so’. Just the sight of her lower body transformed into a smooth tail seemed to be enough of a comeuppance. All those years of being teased for believing in sorcery and mystical forces, and now... now there wasn’t much denying that she’d been onto something. Chloe couldn’t reject what was in front of her own two eyes.
“It’s not... it’s not permanent?” Chloe’s bright blue eyes widened. “I-I... you can’t go to work like that!”
Mary shook her head. “There’s a reset vial. Should put me back to being human.”
Her eyes trailed over to the crate, and after a moment, a smile crossed her face. “You oughta try one.”
“What?! No, no, I-I can’t-“
“Aw, c’mon, it feels nice!” She ran a hand down her stomach, feeling a tingle of pleasure as she felt the transition between the human skin and the slick hide of her tail. “You can go back to normal easy. It’ll be fun! Come on, just a little sip at least, to try it!”
She followed up the request with her biggest doe eyes, and instantly, it seemed to shift something in Chloe. She never had been any good at rejecting Mary’s crazier ideas, especially when she got that look in her eyes. Damnit. The blonde swallowed, looking over at the vials for a solid minute before reluctantly dragging the crate closer. “F-five minutes,” she stated, “Then I go back to normal.”
“That’s the spirit!” She patted her friend on the back. “So, what are you feeling?”
