Mike let out a small "tsk" of dissatisfaction as he picked up Jake's watch for the second time. How could someone be so careless to drop their watch twice in the same day? (In the same hour, for that matter) Worse, the drop must have sent it back to the weird factory default because it read "22.86" again. Must be some kind of European knockoff watch, he thought.
Then, for the first time in his life, Mike tried to be clever. He clicked on the "v" arrow until it registered as three hours in the past: Mike was going to make Jake secretly work three whole extra hours. In Mike's limited mind, it was the perfect prank. How could Jake know that it was quitting time if his watch told him it wasn't? Flawless logic, really. He chuckled to himself as he hit enter as it read "2.45"
Oddly enough, at the very same moment a highly localized breeze swept through his crotch. Odd timing, really...
