At first, you thought it was just the wind but the sound kept getting louder and louder unlike the wind in the forest which only last for a few minute and then stops. It must be the sound of a human or an animal. Whatever it is, it didn't make you any less afraid so you submerged yourself under the lake but you still let your eyes nostrils and ears exposed so you can see what above the surface. It was a group of people exploring the forest. at first you had thoughts of attacking them but "what if they attack you back?" so you decide to keep hiding in the lake until they go away. From this point on, you become very watchful of your territory and when you see someone approach your territory, you will immediately submerge yourself under the lake because you don't have the courage to fight back (yet). Apart from that, everything else is the same. After they went away, you came back to the surface with a sigh of relief and you started feel very tired. It is already night and you are very sleepy( a real life hippo sleeps mostly during the day and never at night but again, you aren't a normal hippo so your behavior is a bit different). Luckily, there is enough space for you to sleep and unlike a human, you don't need a blanket, a pillow or even a bed for that matter. You only need to lay on the ground and sleep. It is pretty easy for you to fall asleep considering how tired you are. Time flies quickly especially when you are asleep so the next day will probably begin pretty soon in your point of view.
