Susan's train of thought was suddenly interrupted by one of her least favorite Co-workers. Around the corner strutted Brandi Liles in all of her blonde beauty. Susan both hated and envied Brandi for so many reasons. Despite her obvious less intelligent nature, her position in the company was much higher than hers. It was obvious she got there through looks alone.
Her looks, of course, were killer. Susan hated looking at her perky breasts every damned day, as she'd usually leave them fairly noticeable for all the guys to stare at. She had curly blond locks flowing past her shoulders, way too much makeup, an almost always a killer skirt that Susan dreamed she could still fit inside, despite Susan's figure. Worst of all, Brandi was years younger than her. Brandi was barely out of college, whereas Susan was a working, middle aged mother.
Susan was shocked to see Brandi walking over to her as the two women generally didn't talk. It didn't take long, however, for Susan to figure out what Brandi's little brain had locked on to.
"O.M.G. That, is like, the prettiest stone I've ever seen!" She squealed as she shuffled over in her heels and snatched up the stone.
Susan wanted to forget the whole crazy story Mrs. Ellis had told her, but somewhere, deep down, she knew she couldn't just let Brandi take it with her.
"Brandi, can I please have that back sweetie?" Susan asked, emphasizing her age seniority.
Brandi just brushed her hair back a little as she scoffed.
"Like, who gave this to you? Your grody old husband?" She asked.
Susan tried to keep her cool, but was starting to get impatient.
"Brandi I-" Susan started before Brandi quickly interrupted.
"No!" She yelled. "I'm, like, sick of you picking on me and stuff." She whined. Susan just sat there, annoyed, until she saw the stone in Brandi's hands begin to glow. Susan's heart sunk as she realized Mrs. Ellis might have been telling the truth. She began to try and calmly reach for the stone with a smile but it was too late, Brandi was going on one of her bi-monthly temper tantrums. Susan stood up but it was too late.
"-and you yell and you say I'm slutty and.... ugh!" Brandi yelled. Suddenly, Susan's heart stopped as she realized what Brandi was about to do. Brandi was about to wish.
"I just wish..."
