“Hmmmm,” said Professor Von Strasser calmly. “Apparently I was wise to resist your earlier suggestions that I release your restraints at this juncture of the experiment. I think you would likely turn violent on me, if given the opportunity.”
“If by that y'all mean I would kick yer bony white ass, then hell yeah ah would 'turn violent' on you!” screamed a furious 'Baylee-Anne.'
“Tut tut,” answered the professor calmly. “We shall have none of that. You will be released from the restraints when I'm done evaluating all of my experiments. At that point in time, you are free to go to Alabama and meet the real Baylee-Anne Potter, if you so desire.”
“Ah am the real Baylee-Anne Potter!” screamed Alan's body.
“No doubt, you believe you are,” smiled the professor. “Absolute vindication for my theories! I honestly do believe you have the complete personality and memories of this Baylee-Anne person. Splendid. Utterly splendid. Although, perhaps I should have saved a backup of your original memory patterns. No doubt you and the real Baylee-Anne can't both live the same life. And seeing as you have the body of a teenage boy, you will be required by the authorities to attend school and live in the custody and under the supervision of some guardians. Hmmm, perhaps you'll have to do your best to pretend you're this 'Alan Donaldson' boy from now on.”
“Ah ain't no boy!” screamed Alan's body. “Ah want mah right body back, right now you creep!”
“Fascinating,” said the professor. “Perhaps after I release you all, I may want to surreptitiously observe your re-acclimation to the family roles appropriate for each of your bodies. There may be a great deal more to be learned from this experiment than I had originally thought. I wonder if, now that you have the complete memories and personality of an adult woman contained in the healthy, young, and very male body of an adolescent boy, just what direction your life will take?”
“Don't do this to me!” screamed Alan's body.
“Well, time enough to study that later,” mused the professor, injecting 'Baylee-Anne' with a sedative. “Why don't you calm down a bit while I examine the results of the rest of your family. When you awaken, you and the others will be released and I will shut down this phase of my experiments.”
