The Magic Shop

Kind of a gender swap?

ithout warning, the aura of light around the book suddenly exploded in intensity. The Donaldson family all shielded their eyes. Steve dropped the book to the floor. It collapsed with a heavy, dull thud... and the brilliant aura of light instantly ceased.

“Wh-What happened?” asked Megan, blinking and rubbing her eyes. “Ohmigod! Dad – why are you wearing a dress?"

"Huh?" asked Steve.

He looked down at himself in confusion.

Sure enough, he was now dressed in the clothes of a middle aged woman. He wore a red, flowing dress that would have made any woman envious, yet it somehow fit perfectly on his still male body. The outline of a Victoria secret looking bra was visible beneath the dress, somehow sung against his flat chest. He could clearly feel that he had on a pair of panties that somehow didn't crush his balls, and shoes that matched the dress to a tee, but looked very much out of place on his big feet. Steve's ears were now pierced as well and sported a set of tiny, silver earrings. His hair was its normal blonde color, but had grown out to just above his shoulders and was styled in a very feminine manner.

“I... what... this is... how did...” Steve stammered.

Then the family all took a good long look at each other.

They had all been changed.

Megan was now dressed like a boy her age. She wore a generic metal band t-shirt, ragged jeans, and sneakers. Likewise, her hair was cut short in a messy doo shorter than her ears.

Alan was now dressed like a stereotypical cheerleader. He wore his school's uniform, which was a red and white one-piece skirt with matching shoes and a bow for a ponytail. His brown hair had also sprouted out longer and was pulled back in said ponytail all tied with a bow. He even now held a girly knapsack over one shoulder.

And Janet was now wearing mens clothing – A lumberjack looking flannel, dark fitting jeans, and crisp work boots. Her hair was now cut short and yet she also had sprouted a full brown beard which covered her still obviously female face. It all looked pretty odd on a middle aged woman.

“What's happened to us?” Janet said, finally breaking the silence. “Why... why are we dressed like this? And what's happened to our hair?”

“Uh-oh,” said Alan, peering into a large, broken shard of a damaged mirror hanging on the wall. “You better come and look at this.”

The family clustered around the broken mirror and one by one gasped at their reflections. In the mirror, they saw only strangers! Steve's reflection was that of a woman about his age. Her hair was styled exactly like his and she also had the dress Steve was currently wearing, but judging by her breasts and hips she was clearly a woman. Steve moved a bit and found she moved too. Investigating further, Steve quickly realized what was throwing him off- The woman looked just like him if he was a girl. She could've been his twin sister

Next to him, Steve's family was also beginning to piece it all together. Megan's reflection was of a younger boy that resembled her, Alan's reflection was of a cheerleader that looked way too similar to him, and Janet's reflection was of a burly middle aged man that looked like he could have been her brother.!

“Do, do we look lie the other sex to the world?” whispered Janet. “Only we can't see it ourselves?”
