Without warning, the aura of light around the book suddenly exploded in intensity. The Donaldson family all shielded their eyes. Steve dropped the book to the floor. It collapsed with a heavy, dull thud... and the brilliant aura of light instantly ceased.
“Wh-What happened?” asked Megan, blinking and rubbing her eyes. “Ohmigod! Dad – why are you wearing overalls?"
"Huh?" asked Steve.
He looked down at himself in confusion.
Sure enough, he was now dressed in the clothes of a young child. He wore a brown, rugged pair of overalls that would have made any toddler look adorable, yet it somehow fit perfectly on his still adult body. He also had a bright blue shirt that had some kid show's mascot on it. The outline of a pull-up was visible beneath the pants, somehow sung against his large body. He had on shoes that had race cars on them with velcro, but looked very much out of place on his big feet. His hair was its normal blonde color, but had grown out slightly and was clearly a mess.
“I... what... this is... how did...” Steve stammered.
Then the family all took a good long look at each other.
They had all been changed.
Megan was now dressed like an older woman. She wore a pair of mom jeans with a red blouse to match. Likewise, her hair was cut more into a style that had resembled Janet's, and jewelry that could have been found in their mother's belongings.
Alan was now dressed like a stereotypical office worker. He wore a play shirt with a basic tie, a pair of cackles, and he even had a suitcase with him. His brown hair had also greatly thinned, leaving him with a slight bald spot atop his head.
And Janet was now wearing the clothes of a baby – A pink t-shirt, pink bow in her shorter hair, and a diaper somehow fit snug around her huge milf ass. It all looked pretty odd on a middle aged woman.
“What's happened to us?” Janet said, finally breaking the silence. “Why... why are we dressed like this? And what's happened to our hair?”
“Uh-oh,” said Alan, peering into a large, broken shard of a damaged mirror hanging on the wall. “You better come and look at this.”
The family clustered around the broken mirror and one by one gasped at their reflections. In the mirror, they saw only strangers! Steve's reflection was that of a a young boy, fairly younger than Megan. The boy's hair was styled exactly like his now and he also had the clothes Steve was currently wearing, but judging by his height and face, he was clearly a child. Steve moved a bit and found he moved too. Investigating further, Steve quickly realized what was throwing him off- The boy was definitely him. The boy in the mirror looked just like he did when he was that age, only dressed in more modern clothes.
Next to him, Steve's family was also beginning to piece it all together. Megan's reflection was of a middle aged woman that resembled her, Alan's reflection was of an older man that looked way too similar to him, and Janet's reflection was of a cute baby that looked like she could have been Janet's young daughter or something!
“Do, do we look like we're different ages to the world” whispered Janet, tugging on her diaper. “Only we can't see it ourselves?”
