"Shit! I look like a kid!" Anthony squatted down for a better look at his reflection. While the water was not perfectly still, it worked well enough for him to recognize his own face - except that it was the one from his middle school class picture! No more than 13, maybe younger - no wonder the clothes had fit. The clothes! Anthony scrambled out of them, kicking off the shoes and yanking off the dungarees and shirt as fast as he could.
He waited, watching his reflection for several minutes until he realized that he wasn't going to change back. It was more than just getting younger. His tats were gone, as were the ear piercings. Not even holes remained. The scar from a knife fight when he was 15 was missing as well. He looked just as he had four or five years ago, before things started to get a little rough.
How the hell had they done this? WHY the hell had they done this? He sat down by the water, confusion starting to give way to curiosity and even a little excitement. This was a great age. No juvey record yet, heck, even his grades were still pretty good back then. The past couple of years had messed up his chances for any kind of college, and while he would never admit it to anyone else, he had already started regretting some of the trouble-making. Once you got a reputation as a hoodlum, it was really hard to escape it.
Was this a chance to start fresh? He wasn't keen on having to grow up again, but he could do things different. Maybe not do some of the stupid stuff, like the tats, and especially try to avoid a police record. This could be pretty awesome! Anthony grinned at his reflection and then got dressed again. He wasn't gonna start off this second chance parading around naked. Than he'd go see what was going on with the other guys and ask the guy in charge what he wanted Anthony to do.
