Katie and Samantha were mostly just standing around, feeling a little awkward. This was a witch's house, after all. Even though its interior didn't look any different from any other modern home. And while Circe and Lilith had been reduced to mere children, there was still Baba Yaga, the infamous witch of the Russian forests who was known to eat people for supper.
Though Baba Yaga certainly didn't look like the old hag from legend. The hourglass's magic had affected her as well and made her much younger. Not as young as Circe and Lilith but certainly much younger than her usual appearance. She was now a Russian beauty with long dark hair and an attractive hourglass figure. Baba Yaga was certainly appreciating her younger self. She did look a little thick around the hips and she was definitely somewhere in her early 30's, no younger than 29. She certainly seemed like a young mother who had to deal with two rambunctious kids.
"So...is it true that your house has giant chicken legs?" asked Samantha.
"Yes, though it's typically invisible to mortals these days," said Baba Yaga before frowning, "Poor thing is probably getting lonely."
"What about your iron teeth?" asked Katie.
Baba Yaga laughed loudly, showing her pearly white teeth. "Those are just for meals that extra tough and chewy," said Baba Yaga. Neither Samantha or Katie had the nerve to ask what those meals were.
Kellie was less bedazzled by Baba Yaga's youth. She had seen the old witch with a younger body before when she was speaking with her father. "I noticed you've stopped growing younger," said Kellie, "And that those two have quieted down."
"Well, that must mean they're finally making amends," said Baba Yaga, "Or they've killed each other."
"Er, maybe we should check on them," said Katie, a little nervously.
"Just be careful," said Kellie, "Even if they're little girls, they are very dangerous witches."
They went to Lilith's room, Baba Yaga carefully opening the door. Unsurprisingly, the room was mostly decorated in black and purple. "Is dark surroundings a requisite of being a dark witch?" asked Samantha dryly.
"I'm just glad there aren't any body parts floating in jars or mummified animals," said Katie.
"Uh, guys, where's Lilith?" asked Kellie.
"Hiding in the closet?" suggested Katie.
"Maybe not," said Samantha, noticing a note on the bed.
Kellie picked it up, noticing it looked like it was written in crayon and the spelling wasn't very good:
'Baba,
'Me and Lili hav gone to my park to hav fun and stuf. We made frends and wanna hav fun.
'Circe'
"Well, I think this shows that their personalities are being affected as well," said Kellie, showing the note to the others.
"Well, they're in safe hands at least," said Baba Yaga, "Circe owns that park and all the animal people there worship her."
"Right, nothing to worry about," said Katie.
But they soon started to think of what could happen to two little girls left unattended at an amusement park. While it was certainly very unlikely for any unsavory people to get into that park, there were plenty of ways they could get in trouble. Not to mention the various rides were meant to turn people into animal people.
"Er, maybe we should go to the park and make sure they're safe," said Kellie.
"Yeah, I better text the others about that," said Katie.
As Katie was busy texting, Kellie sent her own text to Jack. She wasn't sure if she could trust him, but he ought to know his mother was in a vulnerable state at the moment.
