Dan was sitting bored in class when he remembered the odd remote he got in the mail on the weekend. The package that it arrived in was suspicious to say nothing else of it. Addressed directly to Dan despite his lack of any memory concerning a package delivery, the Chronivac as it was referred to in the provided instructions, claimed to be able to transform people in any manner desirable. Curiosity had gotten the better of Dan when it arrived and he went through the process of setting up the device and examining everything that came with it. If only this Chronivac wasn't an obvious joke he might have tried it sooner. It was only the complete mind numbing boredom of sitting in another math class that caused him to give in.
Holding the remote under his desk Dan carefully aimed at the teacher, Mr. Cooper. Despite being one of the younger teachers in the school he also managed to be the most boring. Dan would often tune out what he was saying as if it was just unintelligible grunts. Perhaps it was this that caused Dan's attention to fall to the species setting of Mr. Cooper's profile. Flicking through the options, Dan eventually stopped at horse and chuckled. Carefully keeping the chronivac out of sight, he pointed it at the teacher and activated it. Then in an instant Mr. Cooper transformed completely into a horse. Dan was stunned, the crazy little remote actually worked. In shock Dan looked around the room wondering how the class would react, but no one seemed to care. Even the students looking right at Mr. Cooper weren't in the least bit phased. Dan was finally broken from his state of awe when one of the girls in class called out "Great, he's eating his book again, who lets a horse become a teacher?"
Luckily for Dan the bell rang soon after. He rushed out of the room, now hoping for some time alone with the device.
