The Magic Shop

Free magic for all!

Janet quickly turned Alan back and continued to apologize for another minute. All the while, Steve and Megan played with their looks in the mirror. Eventually, once Janet had calmed down she quickly turned back to the other two members of her family to yell at them a little more.

"See, this is exactly what I was talking about!" She announced. "We can't just randomly use magic with reality altering consequences."

"Honey you're being a little overdramatic." Steve calmly said.

"Overdramatic? Well you're right, this is all perfectly normal than right? Oh and don't honey me Steven cause you're my freaking son right now!" She yelled panicked.

After hearing her say Steven, Steve knew she was really upset. He wondered what to say for a minute before remembering he was the age at which Janet first met Steve. He slicked back his crisp blond hair and walked over to Janet with a smirk. If Janet didn't;t think he was cute, she probably would have snapped again. Before she could say anything, Steve hit something on his watch.

Janet felt odd for a moment as she saw her hair regain its healthy look as it flowed past her eyes. She felt the weight she had built spa after two kids fade away and her sexy figure return. Her clothes transformed from mom jeans to a short skirt and a regular blouse to a revealing top. She felt more makeup appear on her face as she reached 19 like Steve had.

She was about to yell when she saw herself in the mirror. She nearly started to cry as she saw the face of a woman she hadn't seen in years. She looked down and moved her hands along her body, and although she wanted to yell, she couldn't believe how nice she felt. She leaned and and gave Steve a big kiss before pushing away in a panic.

"Wait the kids!" She screamed as she turned around. She was worried they would disappear since they were too young to have kids, but she was relieved to see them standing there unchanged. Although both were bewildered by their mother's transformation.

"Wow Mom... you look..." Megan began before Alan finished with "Great."

Janet covered herself blushing.
"Kids don't look. This... this outfit was from my youth. I was a little more..."

"Fun." Steve joked.

"I was going to say immoral." Janet huffed as she grabbed a coat to cover her top.

"Wait, I don't want to jinx fate or something, but shouldn't we, like, not exist or something?" Megan asked.

Before any of them could respond, the front door opened. They all stood completely still, worried that whoever it was had broken in. Then, their fear changed to confusion as a middle aged woman walked in. This confusion changed to bewilderment as they all finally saw who it was. It was Steve's mother Ruby.

Ruby had been 89 just a few minutes before, but since Janet and Steve were now 19, the kids needed new parents, so Steve's parents aged backwards until they were roughly Steve and Janet's original ages. They all stood smack jawed as Ruby walked in and placed a bag of groceries on the kitchen counter.

"Well, you kids won't even give your mother a how do you do?" She asked half teasing. "Come on kids I need help with the groceries." She commanded.

Steve, Janet, Alan, and Megan were amazed but decided it probably wasn't in their best interest to ignore her. They all started to rush out when Ruby stopped Janet with a hug.
"Hello Janet!" She happily greeted. "How are you? It's been so long since I've seen you. Usually Steve hates having you over with me. I thin he's worried I'll embarrass him with his baby pictures or talks of marriage."

Janet tried not to laugh as she got a major case of deja vu. "It's totally fine Mrs. Donaldson." She laughed.

Steve, Megan, and Alan finished bringing in the groceries as Alan and Megan ran upstairs. Janet talked with Ruby for a while before Steve finally interrupted to save her. "Come on mom, Janet's not her to chat with you." He joked. Ruby sighed and let Janet Join Steve upstairs. Alan and Megan were waiting while snickering.

"I can't believe this, Dad is our brother and Mom's his girlfriend." Megan giggled.

"Shush kids." Janet sighed.

"Come now Janet. Is all this magic really that terrible?" Steve asked. "Reality is always protected, we always know how to fix things, we can always change back, what's there to worry about?" He asked.

Janet thought for a moment before glancing in the bathroom mirror at her reflection. She glanced down, trying to think of anything but right now she just couldn't.
"Okay, fine, we can use the magic." She agreed.

Steve, Megan, and Alan cheered quietly.

"Still, be carful, and don't get too crazy." Janet added. They all agreed as they laughed at the fun they were all gonna have.

"So, what should we do first?" Alan asked.

What do they do.
