Charlotte starts to dream as she found himself alone in an unknown location. She starts to wonder where she was.
She was confused, the location looked nothing like her familiar Merkingdom, it wasn’t even underwater. But that wasn’t her main point of concern, her main worry was her husband not to be found anywhere.
"Damon? Hello? Damon, where are you?", Charlotte asked as she looked around. Her eyes are filled with worry as her parents and dear husband are nowhere to be seen. When she starts to move her body, she felt something strange on her lower half. Charlotte looks down and screams.
Her fish tail… wasn’t a tail at all. It’s was a pair of human legs!
"Legs?! But how? I didn’t do anything!", the former mermaid cried.
Charlotte examined her body further - it wasn’t just her tail that changed, it was other aspects of her body as well. Her breasts were a bit smaller as they were covered by a silky white dress. Her strawberry blonde hair was tied back in a ponytail. The once various seashells, pearls, and gold that decorated her beautiful mermaid body was completely gone - the only form of accessories on her body were a pair of flowers that laid on her head. Her mermadic traits have completely changed to human ones.
As Charlotte looked at her body longer, she started to calm down. The princess realized her body was still very pretty and attractive, just in a human way. She liked her body, but the context around it unnerved her.
Her husband was gone, her parents were missing, and the mermaid was nowhere to be found. She was alone.
Charlotte looked at her legs and wiggled her toes, she was fascinated. What was once a pair of two lovely tail fins were suddenly 10… things on her foot. She bent her new knees and was also surprised, she never had things like these on her tail. Charlotte was interested but knew she had to find her husband.
As much as she liked being a human so far, she much preferred to be a mermaid and loved her husband too much to leave him alone in a place like this. Charlotte knew the novelty of being a human would wear off and had to get up.
Charlotte laid her feet on the ground and bent her knees and lifted herself. Charlotte grunted and raised her arms to balance herself. She felt dizzy and uneasy as she lifted her entire body weight with her feet from the ground to her full height.
Charlotte tried her best to stay up but couldn’t, she cried out as she fell and was prepared to fall face-first into the ground when she suddenly woke up.
She found himself back in the bedroom with Damon as she looked at his merman husband and smiled.
Charlotte looked down and saw her tail again. Looking at her chest, her breasts haven’t changed size at all and were still covered by a pair of seashells. She tried to wiggle her toes, but her tail fins moved instead. Charlotte then stroked her tail and felt no knees on her fish body. Charlotte smiled, she was still a mermaid!
The mermaid princess let out a big sigh of relief, her human experience was just a dream.
Charlotte looked at her room, it was still night - she still had time to have a more pleasant dream. The princess looked at Damon and gave him a gentle kiss.
When she laid on her bed, she whispered, “I hope I can share a dream with you, Damon.”
Charlotte embraced her husband, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
