Thinking, you conclude that if you were searching for someone, you would start from the bottom and work your way up. In line with this thinking, you start ascending the spiral staircase, taking care to tread lightly on the carpet to not alert others to your presence.
As you start the climb, you wonder how the maids would react to your presence. Would they ignore you? You did ensure that Nym wouldn't be able to use them to help him find you. Was that enough? Maybe you were in over your head.
You started thinking of potential hiding places. Was it best to move around? Or would Nym notice that you had gone somewhere?
Thinking of Nym, you thought of how he sounded when he had given you a name. Would serving him be all that bad? I mean, he seemed reasonable enough when you were talking to him and seemed almost friendly before the game started.

You press yourself against the stone wall, stunned as you awaited whoever was coming.
Understandably shocked, you stared in awe as what appeared to be a doll in a maid outfit came walking down the staircase, not even sparing so much as a glance in your direction. It casually treaded carefully down the staircase, soon leaving earshot.
Having decided that you had spent long enough waiting and that the maid's provided no threat to you, you begin to go up the stairs again. As you reach another floor, you spot a tall grandfather clock with a peculiar design on the front displaying a time that was over 30 minutes past when you started.
You gaped at the clock, how could this have happened?! There was no way you were climbing for that long, right? Even though you were beginning to feel a bit frazzled, you decided that your best chance was still continuing up. Feeling a renewed strength, you plowed up the stairs.
When you reached the top, you found the staircase concluded at a the top of what appeared to be a tower. The only other thing at the top was a wooden door. You tested the doorknob and you discovered that the door was unlocked. Was it worth it to hedge your bet on this room?
You decide to...
