The amulet works it's magic on Karissa, with each stroke of Mitch's hand both ears begin to change. First they become slightly pointed, then with each passing moment they slowly lengthen and elongate. Mitch watches in amazement, as first shocked, but remembering quickly the amulet and Nathan.
Mitch wasn't sure why, but he was very much liking the growing donkey ears on his girlfriend. Karissa smiled and moaned happily as Mitch caressed her ears, it felt so wonderful. They had begun to grow a soft velvety coating of fur. Mitch couldn't help himself, he stroked Karissa's fully changed ears lovingly.
Karissa, at first half-asleep but was becoming gradually troubled by the odd feeling of her ears. They felt normal. Almost normal. But she couldn't place what it was. Karissa moaned as Mitch kept stroking the length of her ears. The long length of them. The LONG LENGTH of them?! Karissa sat bolt up right and shot her hands up to her ears and PULLED them down. "What?!" Karissa exclaimed as she examined her ears more closely. For the life of her they looked like donkey ears. Why did she suddenly have donkey ears!
Mitch was entranced with Karissa's ears as she turned to him. She saw his bedazzled looked. "Mitch! What's happened to my EARS?!" Not getting the response she expected, she shook Mitch.
Shaking his head to clear the befuddlement, Mitch turned to look his girlfriend into her eyes, and had to think for a second to remember what she asked. "Umm...well, you've just grown a pair of very cute donkey ears." Mitch reached over to fondle her soft donkey ears some more but his arm was pushed away forcefully as Karissa backed away from Mitch to the other side of the sofa, horrified at growing donkey ears.
Mitch, with a bemused smile, watched Karissa's ears flop around a bit, but remain stiff and straight. Again, the amulet perceived Mitch's wish, which was now coming to the surface. And the amulet glowed again.
