"are you sure this is a good time?" this chin-length raven-haired 14 year old girl in baggy green jeans with red hightops and a crimson sleeveless jacket over a white shirt asked.
"Emily... after what happened and the explained length the investigation is expected to last, it's now or never" the 30s long-red haired woman wearing a white cardigan over a purple sundress with matching sandals returned.
This answer however was not exactly a pleasant one for Emily considering how things back home were going...
...a few weeks back Emily's parents (the traveling companion Aunt Laura's brother and his wife) had died while Emily was in school. Killed by some gas leak at their place of work... all routine at face value until red flags were raised by the insurance providers...
...Emily's dad had a few years back boosted the policy for both him and his wife with very little apparent motive (no recent medical changes, no outstanding debts... only thing Emily could think of was assurances one could be ready to handle single parenthood with Emily in the event of the other dying), problems got more advanced however when some foreigner guy (middle east or Pakistan by Emily's reckaing) appeared claiming to be her mother's 'legal' husband from an undivorced marriage 2 years prior to her dad's...
...and depending on end sides of the legal battle if things didn't go their way Emily would either be 'packed-off' to a foreign country where females and cattle are one and the same or lose money her father setup for security while aunt Laura worked endless hours to assure both were fed and pay off outstanding bills.
"FantasyLand ahoy... everybody off" this ferry's driver called out as said ferry docked outside the resort. "now tell me again why this place for this emergency summer getaway?" Emily asked aunt Laura, "visitors rights the creators legally applied" Laura started "if that sexist importer husband tries to call in guardianship if he can't just take the money... well he'll be unable to remove you from here until we're due to leave".
"that makes no sense" Emily complained, "it means Mr Dover, your dad's best friend and lawyer handling our case can have time to mount countermeasures as such aspects come out early" Laura assured as the pair collected their bags and walked towards reception to the main entrance.
"Laura and Emily Townmark?" the receptionist called a little later. "Here" Laura returned as she and Emily walked towards the receptionist. "so what kind of rollercoasters or video arcades you have here?" Emily asked bluntly. "*cough* as you can tell... my niece is quite the tomboy" Laura apologised.
"oh, we do more then attraction park rides and cabinet games... we truly allow guests the opportunity to be their fantasy being selves, relive or taste ages past or to come, face their fears and become them... they didn't name this FantasyLand for nothing" the receptionist explained. "Prove it" Emily dared, "that we can... all one needs to do is select the area they desire to spend their stay initially" the receptionist assured before adding "that said a added payment is required for switching areas" at which point she handed the aunt and niece a pamphlet detailing the area options:
