As everyone who visited Mieni Atoll for the first time got back on the plane for their trip to Heiya Island, they were glad to learn that the plane had access to the televised events, so they wouldn't miss out on anything. Also during the flight, they read the colony guide during the commercial breaks. There were also some "outtakes" (which were basically mess-ups that were funny enough to be played back after being recorded) shown during the "boring" parts. But that wasn't the only thing that was going on during the IAC.

Because many converted Animalians were often from adult entertainment, and often had to resort to implants or fat injections to get what "they" wanted, Horizon was offering half-price implant removal, but the fat injections would naturally be burned away during conversion. Meg managed to get in contact with both Horizon and some of her old co-workers.
"So these are some of your old co-workers in the same industry as you?" asked the Horizon agent.
"'Industry', right." said Meg, sarcastically. "Anyway, in order to get the look that their producers need..."
"Say no more, I know what you're getting at." said the scientist, surprising Meg, "You'd be surprised at how many applicants end up resorting to the black market, and while we help them out all the same, we can't guarantee that they won't get a black mark on their records."
"Thought so." said Meg, still surprised that the scientist had guessed one of the first ones, "But anyway, that's not all that that the producers wanted them to do. They also wanted them to do things like squats while wearing platform heels."
"It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt." said the scientist, not knowing what else to say.

"So who is the newest member of Project Dinotopia, and what does he want to be?" asked one of the scientists assigned to Project Dinotopia.
"I didn't catch his name," said his co-worker, "But he used to work on one of those old adult entertainment websites that involved men well over one foot in length. But anyway, the species he wants to be is a Carcharodontosaurus."
"...that's a big name isn't it?" said the first, still processing the name.
"A big name for a big theropod." said the second, "it was even bigger than the T-Rex, according to it's fossil records."
"Anyway, I bet the website he used to work for folded when the dotcom bubble burst." said the first, somewhat expecting the answer.
"You got it." confirmed the second. "Since then, he did some artwork while working at a dishwasher in his old hometown. But since Project Dinotopia was opened to the public, he decided to sign up."
"We can call him Mr. M., because his last name does start with M." said the first scientist, "But I've also seen that his specialty is movie posters for erotic movies that sometimes cause people to line up for tickets, even though such a movie doesn't exist."
"Apparently after he gets converted, he's planning on turning one of his posters into a real erotic movie." said the second, shaking his head somewhat.

It wasn't just conversions and/or upliftings that were taking place during the IAC.
"So why are we doing this?" asked Snowflake as Brawn filled out the adoption papers.
"Because I'm not sure if I'm quite ready for calves." said Brawn, focused on his work.
"But why would Dan be bullied by his own herd?" asked Snowflake.
"Most likely because they didn't like his extra limbs." answered Brawn.
"So you want to practice by being Dan's parent?" asked Snowflake, still not getting it.
"I never had a chance before, but now I want to not make any mistakes when we have our own calves."
"Don't worry about that," said Snowflake, "Homosexual Anonymous has a new part that helps newly bisexual couples prepare for parenthood."
"*grunt*" said Brawn, now focusing all on his paperwork that confirmed that he and Snowflake were adopting Dan.
