While not really as popular as Mother's Day, Father's day was still rather popular.

One of the new things that started were various "healthy play" classes for newborn Animalians. The first part of it was launched during Mother's day, called the Animalia "Mommy and Me" classes, designed to help improve health and wellness for Animalians while building better bonds between parents and offspring. The second half, termed the Animalian "Daddy and me" classes, were symbolically opened on Father's Day even though technically it was open before that. Not to say there weren't some side effects from such classes.
"So how was Bash at his first 'Daddy and me' class?" asked Julia, as Thomas came in with Bash.
"It was alright," said Thomas, sounding as though he was fighting through a headache, "Though if I sing that 'Happy Parachute Song' one more time my head's going to explode."

Meanwhile Rick and Clara were getting ready for their trip to New Zerzura, while Rick was skyping with Venus over the movie they had watched the day before.
"That movie about the Curse of the Pharaohs you made was pretty funny and informative, but you did scare us a little with that jump scare on the end."
"Who else made that with you?" asked Clara.
"It was Mr. Hakimoto," said Venus, "He was at New Zerzura trying to work through a mental block, when we met while I was wintering there. After meeting Ahmose II, we got the idea for the movie. Not only did we explore what the Curse of the Pharaohs was and separate fact from fiction, we did it alongside a real problem that faces Egyptian archaeologists, black market grave robbers. The jump scare was actually a homage to old The Mummy movies."
"I'm sure we'll enjoy it." said Clara, "But our cubs are still a little too young to travel, so their grandparents will be babysitting them."
"Be sure to bring plenty of heat and sun protection, drink plenty of water, and wear a hat." said Venus, "They don't call deserts extreme terrain for nothing."
