"My princess" murmured Clotilde, looking at her daughter ready for her first date. The term was appropriate, as Levar, a Star Wars fan, had chosen the name "Leia." It was popular among Second Puberty women, as Carrie Fisher had been an actor named Martin Fisher under consideration for the role of Luke when her Second Puberty hit, followed by a hurried recasting. Leia had had her hair and nails done and was a lovely vision of femininity.
In arranging this blind date, Leia had laid down only two conditions to Jackie about the guy--he couldn't be someone Levar had known as a guy and he couldn't be someone who Jackie had already dated. Activating the girlfriend network, Jackie had come up with Brendan, the consensus of whose exes was "not big on commitment, but upfront about it and really knows how to make a girl feel like a lady." Perfect. After ascertaining Brendan was interested (and Leia was cool with dating a white guy) Jackie arranged a double date.
"Now remember, the whole point of this date is to get Leia used to being a girl, so no reminiscing about you and Levar's heroics on the football field. Got it?"
Charlie rolled his eyes. "Yes baby. Anything you say."
