Thinking of his options, he decided that he should switch lives with the skeleton so that he would be in the class hung for all the students to see and it would take his place with the family. This is perfect because not only will it resolves the issue of Jeff being missing, but also family and friends not noticing him gone. There will also be the option of making the skeleton a different gender or age, making it a completely different person. Like a part of the family, but different. It would be cool to do something like that. So he made his decision and would begin switching lives with the skeleton. Getting on his computer, he started to jut down the information needed to begin the change.
He could see all the information he needed to put in from his name, the inanimate object he needs to change into, mental changes, awareness, alter reality, transformation time, and duration. But down below is a huge text box with the title, ‘Additional Information’. Seeing this, his guess is to add some more stuff for his transformation if there was something special to put in it. This is the perfect opportunity in switching lives with the skeleton and would give it a human life.
So far, he had put down what needs to be added. He wrote down his name, then the inanimate object he wanted to change into, mostly the skeleton in his science class, then have the mental changes on, awareness off, alter reality on, transformation time for six hours, and duration would be permanent. Once he was done with that, he moved to the additional information box and typed down the rest of the stuff. This is what he typed down.
‘When I turn into the skeleton in my classroom, I want the same skeleton to switch places with me. It to will change for six hours and it will start at midnight. My school is six hours away from my house by foot and at six in the morning; the school will open for the faculty to start the school day. When the clock struck twelve, I will wake up in a trance and would slowly walk to the school while the skeleton in my school comes to life and would walk to my home. During the walk, my body will slowly loose mass and decompose from the clothes, my skin, muscles, and intestines, and pretty much everything until the end while I continue to walk and when I get to school and hung myself in class, my eyes and brain would be the last to go and I will become just a skeleton. At the same time, the skeleton that will take my place and would gain what I lost, starting with eyes and brain to make it aware and walk back to the house and then would add more until it’s a complete person, including memories, mentality, relationships, and reality. As far as what the skeleton would be…’
He continued to add more information as what the skeleton would be and looks set in getting ready for the switch. Once he’s done, he skimmed everything to make sure that everything is proper. Soon enough, he was ready to make the switch and click ‘Begin Change’ at the bottom. By then, the warning message appeared and said…
‘Attention!
You are about ready to change into an inanimate object in a permanent state and won’t return. Are you sure you want to continue.’
Below is a yes and no option. Seeing this, he knew he came this far and was ready to make the switch. Clicking yes, the next message said…
‘Thank you for using the Chronivac. You changes will begin at midnight tonight. Have a nice day!’
Now all Jeff has to do is wait until midnight. When that happens, it would mean that he would throw his entire life away just to become a lifeless skeleton just hung on a rack for all the class to see. With a smile, he said to himself, “It’s a shame that I will end my life and be a prop for science class. Still, just that thought of being watched for generations is something to enjoy. I can’t wait for midnight to come. And I’m sure that what I gave the skeleton would be something too. Giving it the life of a living with and image of what I choose, it would be a life it would never forget. Still, even if I left the mental on, it would get confused of what happened. Maybe I should write it the letter to let it know what happened. Maybe let it use the Chronivac for its own purposes. Could be fun.”
So he went on ahead and took a piece of paper and pen to write the letter for the soon to be living skeleton trading his place. He write about what happened, why they switched places, the life the skeleton would have, and letting it use the Chronivac. Once he was done, he looked to what he wrote and was impressed. “Well, that takes care of it. I just hope that skeleton would see my message.”
He soon placed it on top of the keyboard, making sure everything is ready. Just then, he could hear his mom from downstairs.
“Jeff! Come on down! Dinner’s ready!”
Jeff heard her and turned to let her know he’s coming. “Kay mom! Coming down!” he said as he decided to leave his room to have his dinner, his last dinner.
