There was some awkward silence, which Kendra finally broke. "Things got a bit out of hand last night, didn't they?"
"That's one way of putting it" said Eddie. He wasn't angry, but he wasn't thrilled either. Not with Kendra or himself.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me yesterday."
"Which time?" asked Eddie.
"I could ask you the same thing!" replied Kendra, suddenly feeling defensive.
Eddie took hold of her hand. "I was joking. And you're right, you could. We were all being really horny teenagers yesterday. We'll get through all this crazy stuff together." Eddie gave Kendra's hand a gentle, reassuring squeeze.
Kendra smiled, and leaned her head on Eddie's shoulder. This time the silence wasn't awkward.
Then they kissed. It was brief, but left them staring at each other. The stare lingered. Their eyes began to fill with longing. They kissed again, this time embracing each other.

"Dammit" said Kendra. "We took our potions. Why is this happening?"
