“Jack! Hey Jack!”
Jack shook his head as he now looked at his friends, much like Kellie he too had been deep in thought as he thought about how things had changed so drastically over the past month.
Lilith and Circe were getting along for the first time in his life. Not only that the two were working to expand Circes kingdom to other areas of the country. Jack felt as if he was winning, the powers of darkness were growing stronger by the day, he was on track to take over for Morgan LeFay, anthros were not only walking the street but accepted by the town at large. Still, something felt off. Jack couldn’t quite put his finger on it but it didn’t feel as if he was winning.
“Sorry,” he sighed. “Kind of lost in thought.”
“Yeah I noticed,” Ayami grumbled. Smirking she now turned back towards Zack and Mia, watching as the two children now played with this timelines versions of Jackie and Gloria. “I was just saying it shocks me that those two pipsqueaks could be so powerful in the other timeline.”
Jack nodded as he watched the children play. While Gloria and Jackie had yet to manifest any magic of their own in this timeline he could sense a deep latent magic inside the two 10 year olds. “I don’t know why it should,” Jack shrugged. “I mean the teenage versions of them both have shown how capable they are. The timelines maybe be different but magic is one of those things that kind of transcends timelines.”
Ayami stretched, taking a seductive pose as she lazily gazed at the four children play. The succubus had chosen a pair of tight daisy dukes with a tank top that showed off her ample curves. “So do you think we could steer them towards our side when their older,” she asked.
“Probably,” Jack said. “I mean they already get along with Mia and Zack don’t see why they wouldn’t follow them when they get older.”
“But you can already tell Mia and Zack don’t have a cruel bone in their bodies,” Sebastian added. Jack nodded, it was true. The children were still innocent despite their dark powers. They would have to make the choice to use those powers for darker purposes later on, for now though they were simply innocent children with immense power.
“I know this may be going against the grain here,” Rexie stated. “But I kinda hope they stay as they are.”
Jack glanced over at the familiar raising an eyebrow. Rexie had chosen to stay in his teenage girl form for now as they watched the kids. Since becoming a familiar for the witchling Rexie had setup residence in Mia’s home. A spell altering her parents memories now made them believe that Rexie was Mia’s teenage cousin that they were caring for. To add to the fascade Rexie could assume animal or imp form in the house without fear as the teenage girls absence was explained away as a part time job. “Not the answer I expected from an imp,” Jack said slowly.
Rexie shrugged, brushing the bangs of her pixie cut hair out of her eyes. “Maybe,” she said. “But my interest is in Mia and Mia alone. Just want her to be happy, just like you want your daughter to be happy.”
Jack paused, he had yet to tell the others about Ann. “It’s daughters,” he sighed.
Rexie, Ayami, And Sebastian raised an eyebrow as Jack now looked at them. “It appears I have two daughters,” he said. “There’s a third timeline that’s now connected to this timeline. In that timeline it looks like me and Kellie have another daughter, Ann.”
“Ann,” Sebastian asked. “Why does that name sound so familiar?”
“Because in my daughter Katie’s timeline she was Kellies sister.”
The group now went silent as they pondered what Jack said. “Any reason you didn’t mention this,” Ayami grumbled, crossing her arms over her ample breasts. Jack shrugged, staring out once more at the children playing. “No idea,” he said softly. “Mostly because I ain’t sure how To tell you. It’s a whole other timeline, one that hasn’t been touched by any of us. We could influence that timeline, turn it towards darkness. But there’s a catch.”
“Ann,” Sebastian said causing Jack to nod. “Yeah, “ he said softly. “Look I know it’s crazy but I have memories of her now. I’ve even gone to talk to her since I found out. She’s a bit of a daddy’s girl and already teeters towards darkness, I don’t want anything to happen to her.”
“I get it,” Rexie stated. “But you should of said something. Yeah you want her to be safe bu how long before someone’s tries to make a move on her?”
Jacks eyes flared red as he now angrily gazed at his friends. “And who would make a move against my daughter,” he growled. “Oh will you relax,” Ayami sighed. “You know damn well none of us are making a move against any of the charges we protect.”
“She has a point,” Sebastian said. “We all have an understanding. Don’t mess with Mia, Zack, Katie and now Ann. We don’t hurt those we protect.”
Jack nodded, taking a deep breath as his eyes returned to normal. The group did have an understanding, despite being acolytes for darkness their were things they did not do.
“So when do we meet her,” Rexie smirked.
“Whoa hold up,” Jack stammered. “I don’t know about that?”
“Oh cmon,” Rexie groaned. “It’s a whole other timeline. Just think of the fun we could have.”
“Think of the trouble you would cause,” Ayami smirked.
“Think that goes for you two Ayami,” Sebastian chuckled.
Jack grinned as he now began to think, perhaps a trip to see his daughter Ann was in order.
