You're completely overwhelemed by all this, and your mind is swimming with new thoughts and feelings that you're having trouble sorting out. Even trying to figure out your next move is beyond you at the moment. "I can't think right now," you finally mutter.
Lola kneels down in front of you sympathetically, "It'll take some time for you to feel right." She paused and reaches into her pocket and pulls out a key, "Why don't you go to my apartment. I've got a guest room you can use as long as you need to." She quickly writes out the address, "Go here and get comfortable, we can talk when I get home."
You nod thankfully, "Okay, thanks. Anything I should know before I go?"
She smiles, "In some ways, being a toon is like being a human. You'll still eat, drink and sleep. You just don't age unless you want to, don't get sick and can't be killed. Toons have love lives, kids and pets."
You stop her, a little surprised, "Kids?"
"Sure we do, sugar!" she laughs. "Not all the toons here are people, most are just born and raised that way!" She helps you to your feet, "Now go, relax. If you decide to try and return, I'll help you how I can. If you decide to stay, I'll do the same."
You quietly step out into the sun, looking at Toon World again through, literally, new eyes. It's still a beautiful place, but it seems slightly more real now, more grounded.
You start walking the direction Lola pointed out, noticing with slight embaresment that you're swinging your furry hips just a bit more than you like. The more you try to stop it, the more you can't. Eventually, you give up and just let your tail swish in the breeze. You're more than a little aware that you're attracting attention from every male toon walking the street, of every species, but you manage to ignore them for a while.
Eventually, as you pass by a small park, you realize that you're lost. From what Lola said, you should have passed by her place a while ago. You look around nervously. You need to ask for help, but from who?
