Fourth of July was not as big as the upcoming Animalia Anniversary Celebration, but that didn't mean that people were taking advantage of it. While fireworks were a major part of it, it wasn't as big as other firework displays were in other places.
To keep the youngest/newest members of Animalia from hurting themselves by getting too close to the fireworks, they were put in large corral-style playpens where they could socialize with others. But that also didn't mean that they were completely unsupervised, as many of the mothers were keeping close in case of them needing feeding or calming down due to fireworks going off.
But the Fourth of July celebrations weren't the only thing going on.

Since the IAC URP was finally finished, Heather and Jeremy had moved to Dino City. Because of this, Heather wasn't able to register for the Mesozoic Fight Club Tournament, but she didn't mind because she had gotten a champion's belt for her victory in the Inaugural Match. Heather was also able to cheer/heckle Reggie during her matches, but it wasn't done in such a way to distract her, mainly since it was between rounds.
But what was probably the funniest part of the Mesozoic Fight Club Tournament was a "matchup" that was clearly more for entertainment than a real fight. Especially since it was a matchup of Velociraptor VS. Carnotaurus, and when the referee said "No hitting below the belt.", the velociraptor Dinotopian pulled his shorts up and over his nose to "take advantage", but the Carnotaurus Animalian responded with a roar that seemingly stripped him down (but was actually because of specially made clothes pulled off by fishline), but was automatically followed up by an automatic "ref's timeout" so the velociraptor could get a new pair of shorts (he had underwear on underneath his shorts so it wasn't indecent).
While Jeremy was a little nervous about stepping foot into the Dino Dome's weight room, that was mainly because of all the weights and machines being "Neolithic". "Mr. M." was glad to help him out with his training, though it wasn't much of a secret that Mr. M. was passing secrets on how to make Heather "scream", so to speak.
Heather was also a little surprised to meet the Utahraptor "pack", as they called themselves, but it was rather amusing to see the video they had made of the bikini carwash they ran to get the funds they needed to get converted, which proved that it wasn't as risqué as some made it out to be.

The day immediately after Fourth of July was raining off and on all day that day so it was considered a good way to snuff out any leftover sparks from the fireworks of the night before. Also, since it was raining, many of the frog Animalians decided to do a showing of their "rain dance" as part of the IAC celebrations. It was something to see them combining music and seemingly extreme rhythmic gymnastics to Karl Jenkins' Rain Dance, partly because frog Animalians were seemingly capable of leaping ten to twenty feet at a time. The highlight of the celebration, to everyone's surprise, was the appearance of Aurora, the most famous/notorious of all the aquatic Animalians.
While Fourth of July was considered great, there was still Animalia's Anniversary celebration coming up, so everyone was looking forward to it. Happy Fourth of July from Animalia.
