It took months, yet the virus was unstoppable.
Countries all over the world saw their population fall victim to its grotesque mutations.
Meanwhile, however, the now famed chemists and biologists Ramsay and Farukh, developed an antidote, a cure, maybe?
Through the use of a controlled variant of the Mutation Virus, or one in severely weakened state, the scientists found that through the use of vaccinations, they could make people immune from the severest mutations of said virus. However, this still meant that the weakened virus was capable of changing somebody's physique or mental state by the slightest of margins.
Instead of growing fur over the whole body, it only happened in certain places, or the vaccinated individual had to live with much rougher skin than normal for the rest of their lives. Any growths would be much cleaner, and could, most of the time, be surgically removed at the nearest hospital, even the hospital somebody got vaccinated in. Others didn't change, but lost complete control of their limbs, while they started moving by themselves.
Confrontations the Mutation Virus became normalized in the American society, and later also in other countries. Some people mutated once, those with a bad immune system more than that. Epidemics were a thing of the past for this virus. Barely anymore did someone mutate into something hideous like the patients Zero, years ago now. Curious cases, like an old woman aging backwards, or a 20 year old man no longer aging at all, would be noted in the local newspaper, with a small interview added. Minor mutations became the norm, a point of interest in the lives of the sheep. Someone got sick, how did they turn out?
