So the two of you walked about the 3 sided room looking at the inert mirroes
which refused to do much of anything,thank you very much.
Finally it dawned on you that this was a three sides
room,fairly unusual in most buildings
and you started looking not at the mirrors but at the frames
that held them and the walls themselves.
Which was when you noticed the wires insulated in cloth or silk
that ran out of the frames and ran along the wall both to some
place beneath the floorboards and up above the ceiling.
Clearly there was more to these mirrors then met the eye.
So you used your superior vision to trace the ancient electric wires running along the ceiling and noticed the slightly different colour of a patch of the ceiling panels.
A trap door in the ceiling.
So you called the rabbit over and the two of you stared up at the
ceiling where the rabbits were starting to pick up the hum of something up there
with his superior long ears.
So you held up the rabbit and huffing and puffing he pushed open the trapdoor and the humming got louder
the multicoloured lights spilled into the room
and the rabbit shouted down to you that there was some old
machine up here.
He leapt into the space above the room of mirror and shouted down to you that
there was a big sign lying on that floor with the
words
Dimensional Flux Machine.
Neither of you knew what that meant but you didn't need
to be a rocket scientist to figure out that
'dimensional flux' was responsible for all that had happened
to you and him.
Then he shouted down
"hey heres the off switch.Maybe if I switch this thing
off we'll both be back to normal"
Up you shouted "no"
but it was too late as you heard
the 'klikk' of a switch being thrown by the rabbit.
The dimensional containment shielding
just shut down by the foolish rabbit
died away as the hum,whirr and klick
of the ancient machine
died away.
The house began to shake and the rabbit tumbled through the
hole in the ceiling and slammed down on you hard and both of you fell to the floor.
You got up quickly and rushed to the window overlooking
the cityscape of Botany Bay,Australia's up and coming
super metropolis.
The Kettlewell Mansion had shook so violently after the rabbit
had shut down the dimensional flux machine ,easily a 20 on the Richter Scale you fully expected that the rest of Botany Bay lay flattened,if it hadn't just slid into the sea altogether.
Yet all outside in the city looked normal
except for a bratty 9 year old girl who was tugging and teasing and
pulling pulling the hair of her five year old younger sister.,who lay in a sandbox crying and wailing for their mother
who was somewhere else at the moment.
Yet you knew something was wrong,very wrong
and had barely turned around to look back in the room
when the dimensional flux energies gushed out of the deactivated mirrors
and hit both of you
the rabbit and the kangaroo
with a bone crunching flesh twisting invisible but very
feelable force that gushed out of the rooms windows and
spewed forth into the Botany Bay city outside the house.
The two of you changed and when it was done you were shocked to discover that you were the exact spitting image of
the five year old girl you'd seen crying just minutes earlier
whilst the rabbit now looked like the twin sister of the spoiled
nine year old girl.
Dimensional Flux instincts kicked in and you rushed to the
window just in time to watch one of the dimension flux energy balls slamming into the back of the spoiled nine year old girl
and sink into her as she fell to her hands and knees
scraping her knees painfully.
"Owwrr" she got out as she glared angrily at her younger sister
in the sandbox.
The younger sister had stopped crying and was slowly backing away when the sound of a tearing dress happened out the same
time the wicked sharp black spines burst along the nine
year old girls spine.
When her older sisters hair began to fall out and the first set of
horns pushed out of the spoiled nine year olds changing skull
the five year old frantically looked for something to escape to.
Clearly her older sister,her angry nine year old sister
was changing.
She saw a thirty foot tall playstand of climbing bars and
the like and made for it and began climbing it frantically.
You just stared at the changing nine year old as her body got bigger and longer
and sprouted scales
and bats wings and her mouth suddenly opened impossible
wide
as her jaws began to lengthen and her nose flattened as her nostrils
flared out into the nares of a reptile,her dangling tongue
lengthened and blackened as it forked .
It was around the time her still blue human eyes began to swell
within that crocillian maw that the dragon-girl must
have figured out what she was turning into and not
wanting it to continue.
She let out a very loud ( she had much bigger lungs by this point)
and human cry of protest before something inside her shifted and changed and her
very loud human cry of protest turned into the much deeper
roar of a dragon as her changing chest barreled out into the
deep barrel chest of a dragoness.
The growth and changes seemed to be done thankfully.
What stood where a four foot nine human girl
had once been was a
spiked horned tailly bat winged dragoness with still
blue human eyes,on all fours
its shoulders easily eight feet off the ground.
Then came the sparks and smoke out of its mouth and nostrils and
the dragon gave a surprised grunt as the final wave of changes
began.
Blue human eyes turning brighter blue,the pupils stretching as
the inner fires were stoked up and glowering fiery reptilian
dragons eyes gazed apon the world
around the creature,
It grew
8 and a half feet at the shoulders
ten feet at the shoulders
twelve feet at the shoulders
fourteen feet at the shoulders of a flamebreather that
raised its head,sprang open its jaws and spewed forth a blast furnace
worth of flames at the sky above it.
Then the monster turned its attention to the screaming five year
girl who had once been its relative.
The five year old girl
had frantically climbed the hundred foot tall childrens
climbing pole
well above the reach of even the huge creature her
sister had turned into.
The dragon merely uttered what could be described as a
dragons chuckled and stretched her wings
and leapt into the air on her
powerful hind legs.
In a flash the dragon had swept to the top of the pole
and seized her annoying sister in huge forepaws
and flew away,
spewing fire and roars
as she flew off.
You stared at the former rabbit,now a pale faced
nine year old girl
and said....
