The Giggle Gas began to alter Cheryl's deepest desires, awakening within her a desperate wish to be physically attractive to a walking, talking cartoon rabbit! Watching the TV show in front of her, Cheryl could suddenly understand Linda Lapine's frustration with being human. She shared Linda's relief as Racer Rabbit defeated Dr. Hypno and used the Doctor's invention to transform his fictional love interest from a ugly pink human back into her furry lapine self.
As Linda's on-screen feet burst out of her narrow high heels and returned to their normal long rabbity fullness, Cheryl rubbed her own feet together sympathetically. Too engrossed in the cartoon, the teenager failed to notice as her smallest toe on each foot melted away and as her remaining four toes began to plump up into the shape of a toony footpaw. Even as Cheryl's misshapen feet began to grow one centimeter after another to mimic the footpaws of the cartoon rabbits from the show, the tops of her toes sprouting a light red ink and paint fuzz, the girl merely adjusted herself on the hotel bed so as to make room for her new oversized stompers.
On the TV screen, Linda's ears transformed back into the long oval ears of a rabbit accompanied by a goofy "SPROING" sound effect. Cartoon hearts covered Racer's eyes, seeing his longtime sweetheart revert back to her regular bunny body. The smitten superhero leaned over and gave Linda a nice long smooch. "Ooooh, are you getting jealous?!" piped Kelly, looking over toward Cheryl. Thanks to the Giggle Gas, Kelly accepted as totally normal Cheryl's huge feet that had partially changed into the footpaws of a cartoon rabbit, as well as her ears that were growing taller right before Kelly's very eyes. Cheryl smiled, reaching up for a moment to brush her bangs behind a pointed eartip. "I dunno. I guess maybe a little" she admitted before breaking out laughing. "Racer's a real hottie and you bet your two front teeth it'd be nice to kiss him like that." As Cheryl spoke of her attraction to the cartoon rabbit, her ears grew even higher -the outside of her own body transforming to reflect her growing inner lapine feelings. By the time the show credits began to roll, the teenager's furry ink and paint ears were easily three inches above the crown of her head.
"Hey kids, do you want to meet Racer Rabbit live? Join us in ToownWorld this Friday evening at the Acme Pavilions Mall!" droned the TV. "Oh wow, that's in just a few days!" squealed Cheryl. "Are you going to go?" asked Kelly, her long mouse tail waving with excitement. "You bet I am!" replied Cheryl, overjoyed at the thought of meeting her cartoon crush in the flesh (or in the paint, as it were). The night wore on with the partially transformed girls chatting and comparing the relative merits of Racer Rabbit and Max the Mouse until they gradually drifted off into a pleasant sleep.
