Sean lay back in his bed, staring up at the ceiling. He could control Mitch's life completely! This was so cool! Any time he needed a friend, someone to play games with, or to help him with homework, he could bring Mitch over. It was almost as good as having another brother.
Another brother. Sean grinned, thinking. Not older, and he didn't want a younger brother taking his place as the 'baby' of the family. But a twin brother? The more he thought about it, the better he liked it. An identical twin brother, someone who would be his best friend for life. But could the amulet do that?
He closed his eyes and concentrated, holding the amulet in one hand. Mitch not only changing to look like Sean, but everything else around them changing so that he had always been Sean's twin brother. When he opened his eyes, he grinned in amazement. His room was different now - there were two beds, two desks, and a lot more clothes - most duplicated. But where was Mitch?
Mitch had been watching TV, still worrying about what Sean might do, when he realized his living room was changing. "No! Not again!" He felt himself getting smaller, and ran into the bathroom. It looked a lot different, with more towel racks and a counter covered with different brushes and soaps. But what concerned him most was the image in the mirror.
He was Sean! The reflection was exact, right down to the clothing he'd last seen Sean wearing. That meant he was 13 years old - but for how long?
"Mitch?" A strange woman;s voice came from the living room, and he ran out to see a man and woman in their late 20s coming in the front door. The living room was totally different now, all the furniture and pictures new, with a crib in the corner. "Oh, there you are. Did Debbie give you any trouble?"
Debbie? Mitch blinked, suddenly knowing that Debbie was the 2 year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Parker, the people he was babysitting for. This was their house, and he lived across the street with his twin brother Sean. Except that he also knew he was really a grown man trapped as a kid - and it looked like Sean was going to make it permanent!
