Well the thing is magic costs considerably more then Mr Yu's
Ointment Store customers ever pay for it,on the order of
a gazillion of magic cost for every 1 of customer payout.
So the point of the whole exercise for Mr Yu and the other
salespersons doling out this rather rare and expensive to
produce commodity was to get maximum returns out of the
customer.
Basically a major life changing alteration in their averaged
fate.
So before Mr Yu gave anything to Janet he had to get approval ,send in the magic usage forms and check on the
FATE ALTERATION software in the laptop he kept at the back of the store.
So giving Janet some concocted excuse Mr Yu headed back
to the back of the store where he typed in her name into his laptop JANET DOE and his true impressions of the potential
loan applicant
that she was a whiny brat who wan't going anywhere in life
because she just wasn't willing to take risks and stand up
for herself..
FATE gave him the various alterations to her fate
with increasing applications of magic and no matter
how much magic she got,she wasn't going anywhere
either positive or negative.
However he sent in the Magic Loan Application Form 33D
anyways to Central and after a few minutes the
application was rejected.
No magic loans to JANET DOE
and there was a side attachment asking Mr Yu
to get JANET DOE's stepdad Mr J. Doe to sign off
on the cost of processing his stepdaughters
failed application.
In other words Central wanted Mr J Doe's
credit card number.
Squealing at the headaches both Janet and Central were
causing him
Mr Yu went back to the front and gave Janet a letter he told
her to give to her daddy wheever it was convenient.
Then the hustler sold her some ordinary non magical
shampoo that would make her skin feel sparkly when she
used it due to the liquefied CO2 in it.
Out Janet skippered and that was that as far as Mr Yu was
concerned.
