Jenkins grinned a little as he finished working on a new formula he had been developing for the Stables and the Zoo in general. He had always found that the formula that was currently used was way too fast-acting. The goal was to turn as many people as possible into animals, so if they could not only make it slower but also make it more contagious, it would quickly spread across the city. He grinned a little as he finished working on it.
If the formula worked right, it would slowly transform the subject while leaving them completely unaware of the changes. At the same time, anyone they came into close contact with would be infected without even having to come to the Zoo. He couldn't help but laugh at the idea of an entire city being filled with horses. And soon they would spread out, humanity's days were numbered. That was their goal after all, and the Stables were not going to let the others transform everyone.
Now it was a matter of figuring out who would be his test subject. He looked out at the Stables thoughtfully for a moment as he went over the options.
There was a couple that was admiring the horses as some of the other attendants eyed them expectantly. They would make a fine breeding pair either way.
There was also a group of high school students with one boy and three girls. One of them looked more bored than anything else. He smiled a little at that, they would a fine herd. And the fact that they were high school students would make it even easier to spread things out, that was probably the best option.
An older couple with two kids a boy and a girl also caught his attention. The little girl seemed excited to see the horses, oh if she only knew what was waiting for her. He smiled at the idea of her becoming a filly, he almost wondered how she'd respond. He made a note to keep an eye on that family if nothing else.
Finally, there was Janet, she was the new hire for the Stables and hadn't been completely inducted yet. That would make her easy to use as a test subject and she could still be inducted. He grinned a little at that, maybe he wouldn't even bother, she'd make a much more beautiful mare anyway.
