Inside was a glass beaker containing a strange brown liquid. The container was simply labelled ‘antidote.’
“Well, well, well” the attendant announced with a smile, “it seems my hunch was correct.” The attendant extracted the beaker and admired it in his hands. He then handed the container to an assistant before rummaging around inside the safe some more. It wasn’t long before he extracted a large black file which was filled with hundreds of sheets of paper. He began sifting through them as he unveiled the true extent of Jenkins’ ambitions.
Meanwhile, Jenny shifted around in agitation as her secrets were unveiled for the first time. She could only hope that they wouldn’t find anything too damning.
After briefly skimming through the whole file, the man handed it to a colleague. “Get this analysed and report to me if you find anything of note. You can also take this antidote to the science division and see if they can duplicate it in some way. However, just in case they can’t, I think I’ll take a small sample for my own little experiment.”
The attendant proceeded to carefully pour some of the strange substance from the beaker into a smaller test tube until it was nearly full. He then handed the glass container to the assistant before ushering him out of the room.
“Now doc, let’s see what we have here.” The attendant motioned for Jenny to follow him as he strode briskly with the test tube in his hand. “Let’s see what this stuff can do.”
